exactly boffo... too many people wasted their time watching the leafs... there's more exciting hockey in Ottawa and Buffalo!
That should have been a penalty. Mats gets high sticked and he spit blood on the ice. That was Bull.21pro said:Raycroft had an off night, but so did McCabe (again)...
I actually thought the Leafs coulda tied the game up if Sundin woulda dropped the HighStick non-call issue, settle down and play hockey for the final 1.5minutes of regulation. too bad he lost his cool. Leafs failed to tie probably as a result of that.

why the hell weren't they in the Ryan Smith sweepstakes? (cap space coulda been made) finally the dream winger for Sundin appears, and ...???

fair comparison for JFJr, eh? lol...
....he'd trying to instill confidence in his starter..although in hindsight..the 20 starts in a row seems to be a bad decision. Unless your goalies name is Brodeur...a backup should get 20-25 starts a season, especially one who has proven he can steal games like Aubin has.guyroch said:I am finally coming to the conclusion that Paul Maurice hate Aubin ... How else do you explain his use of goalteding ? ... Raycroft isn't Brodeur so why the fuck is he playing every game ... I am sorry guys but when do we start looking at the coach ?

well, the Leafs finally got pts. 70 & 71 on March 2nd! well see how this stat holds...21pro said:any team left with less than 70 pts by March 1st has an almost impossible chance of making the postseason... not numerically impossible, it just never happens anymore since the 82 game sked and when a point is awarded for OT!
Although JFJ did not do Toronto a favor by acquiring the necessary reinforcement to improve Toronto's playoff chances, still there are 16 games 32 potential points to gain. It looks like there are 8 teams here jockeying for 4 playoff spots. If the Leafs really want a spot, they have to earn it. It is not too late yet.21pro said:Effective of March 4th 2007

..like six teams trying for 2 spots...don't see Atlnata or Pittsburgh dropping out of their spots now..especially with the players both teams obtained at trade deadline...so you got 7th through 12th trying to be in the # 7 or 8 spot at the end of all this...Montreal seems to be in trouble...some locker room dissention goin on with Kovelev(sp) comments...Carolina will turn it around...one spot, and 5 teams trying to get it...so it may be real tough for the Leafs, especially since they seem to have the toughest schedule of the teams in the hunt...looks like tonight is their only shot at points...back to back against Ottawa??....not looking goodScenicdrive said:Although JFJ did not do Toronto a favor by acquiring the necessary reinforcement to improve Toronto's playoff chances, still there are 16 games 32 potential points to gain.
