No, I think they are so loony they would want Mr. Ford to stay for a month or two longer (or until all his staff quit or are fired). I mean they are so out there crazy dumb that they would like his brother to run for a Provincial seat too. Don Cherry had it right: They can stick Mr. Ford as Mayor in their pipe and smoke it . . . hopefully for months.

I hated Miller too, he was an ideologue and could barely suppress a smug superiority, but next to Ford he appears a principled statesman. I said Ford was a sorry example of a leader, but I was being kind. If reports of the video turn out to be true, he'll have revealed himself as the absolute worst kind of hypocrite and liar....not to mention dumber than a sack of hammers.

Again, what standard of proof are you using? Is that proof that would be accepted in a physics experiment? No. In a criminal trial? No. Is it the standard of proof upon which 99.9% of the stories in the news rely? Hell yes.

They do not have independently corroborated notes of two different reporters... they are both paid by the same corporation. And the Gawker guys are already back peddling so...

All I know is with 2 (or possibly more then 2) of these videos floating around out there, sooner or later one of these drug dealers is gonna cash in on that almost $1/4 million dollars thats sitting at indiegogo.

Read a report today that contributors are now canceling their previous donations. Seems when you called in, you provided a credit card..which was NOT TRANSACTED...and the deal was that once footage is located, the pledge goes through.

Given the diminishing likelihood of a video, people have begun canceling the credit card transaction, feeling duped. Wonder if that decreasing total will be reported on the Gawker website?

What I said was that the Star is a reliable source, and that these claims that they make up news stories are idiotic. The Star does not make up news stories. Neither does the National Post, the Sun, the Globe, or any other major newspaper. Papers certainly do have their bias, but bias does not mean they just make stuff up and those who are suggesting they do are of questionable intellect. Bias typically shows up in which stories they choose to run, and what angle of the story they choose to cover--but they do not go about making things up.

I defy anyone here to cite a case where any major Canadian newspaper wholesale made up a story--not got a fact or two wrong--made up a whole story. In fact, conspired with another separate media outlet to make up the story. It doesn't happen.
