OK, so here's my take on all of this:
1) Emergency powers are not required, the police can deal with all this without resorting to bank accounts, crimes bringing children there etc.
2) Nobody should ever be able to prevent other people from moving around public places, unless they have a permit. If they do, with a bit of a warning , they should be forcibly removed. Given a ticket, like a parking ticket., unless of course they get violent, then they can and should be charged criminally.
3) Who does this include? A N Y B O D Y.
Truckers blocking key access points at the border.
Truckers blocking city streets.
Illegal overnighters in public parks.
Native people blocking bridges.
Native people people blocking rail lines.
Native people blocking roads in Caledonia.
Unions blocking access to factories and workplaces.
People marching down the Gardiner to support causes in other countries or for any other reason.
People blocking the pride parade until their demands are met.
You can't pick and choose who you apply the law to, based on which side you 'like'.
