They are insurrectionists, they want the government removed by way of non voting!
They are Canadians accused of no crime before the courts. They're your fellow citizens that have not reached for violence in the pursuit of their cause. Even if some of them may be confused, we are not fucking Russia or China. But, you are welcomed to move to one of the more agreeable jurisdictions for you, one where " skull cracking " is practiced.

This whole thing confuses me... I side with the truckers because I KNOW truckers and I feel they have done a GREAT job at being peaceful while at the same time being heard I have watched this protest from the start... I appreciate their independent streak...I just don't get WHAT the government gains by doing this... And why its so HARD for Trudeau to come down off of his high horse and JUST TALK with them.... In my mind this could be so easily solved... WHAT AM I MISSING ?

You’re not missing anything except the incredible ego of Trudope and how politically disastrous it will be when every part of their Covid management policy is proved to be foolish, one policy at a time.

are you still surprise at his actions? He is dismissive and smug towards those who doesn't agree with him...it feels like a loss to him to even meet them halfway....

Politics, pure and simple. His base really believes his "reasoning ", you can see that in here. Much of the media, most notably the CBC, are desperate to paint the protesters as extremists and they have been doing it since day one.

The Emeregency Measures require the approval and sign off of the Premier to be exercised.
The PM needs Ford's EXPLICIT approval and concurrance to start.
FORD WIIL NOT ADJUST SEVERITY, NOT GUIDE ACTION, NOT CONSULT, NOT AMEND COURSE OF ACTION, NOT DECIDE WHEN ITS OVER.
Once that toothpaste is out of the tube, its not going to go back in.
There will be no half measures by the Feds. Look at Bill Blair, as he will be calling the shots-look what he did as Chief of Police at the G20 riots in TO in 2010.
The PM is the only one who will put the brakes on after the troops and cops go out, NOT THE PREMIER.

If Ford has his eye on the Federal Conservative leadership in the future, he may "nod along" with the PM, tell him he's handsome, tell him he's right, be his Valentine, ....right up until there is a "point of no return and utter embarrasment" for the PM ( sorry we're not there yet!) and then.............like a man of the people, he will talk to the truckers, one on one, man to man. All will be well and God will be in his heaven.

After that he will no longer need hip waders because he will be deemed to walk on water.

Nasty for once You should go by the facts. Let us analyze the popularity numbers in that link that You provided. At the time of the 2019 Elections Trudeau's Approval Rating was 35%. He formed the Government then. But then in February of 2021 he tanked to 33%. Now he has been hovering around the 45% mark since June of 2021. So explain how his poll numbers are going "South Fast" when he is at 40% now??

Once again Fake McNasty News!!
Keep your eyes focused on the red line and the blue line towards the end of the graph, sweetheart.
I know you can do this. I have confidence in you (y)

Let the skull crackings begin!!!!

I wonder about Trudeau... I think he might not be that stable mentally... his disappearing act speaks to that. Covid/ Bipolar... whatever... Regardless we are in Deep doodoo with him at the helm. His Narcisism and his past ( and present ) behaviours speak to deeper issues.

Am doing so, with The Blue line stating 40% currently and at 35% during the 2019 Elections that Trudeau WON.
Even the Disapproval was at 60% during the elections but down to 57% now. So Sweetiepie, in Science there is a certain phenomenon called "trending". The trending seems steady for now!!

This situation has so many levels of learning. Calling the truckers names ( terrorists etc. ) shows how corrupt and fearfull our government is and specifically the leader. The media outlets have followed lock step showing us that we cant trust them and that they ( specifically the CBC) need to be defunded....The swamp is being drained and its showing us just how manipulated we were. And to get back our rights and freedoms from this government is going to be a challenge....Trudeau has increased the public service work force since taking power. We need a correction... but not the correction he thinks... WE NEED SMALLER MORE AFFORDABLE GOVERNMENT THAT RESPECTS ITS PEOPLE.

Nope, the end of the graph shows a downward trend when the protest started

See, you just do not comprehend what trending is all about. Overall the trend is holding steady if it hovers around the 40% mark. Well you have to understand the Science behind Precision and Accuracy, especially when polls have a +/- Accuracy of around 3 - 5%!!

Look at the 2021 Elections where Trudeau once again won the Elections with 36% of the Popularity. So 40% is "Bad"?

I've been rather quiet on this issue as I've been busy.....

My position that this action is testament to Trudeau's inability to relate to average working people. He is truly an empty vessel and it pains me, the son of working class people, to see how disconnected our Prime Minister is from hard working people who feel that they have been completely disrespected and ignored by the federal government.
This protest in Ottawa has been going on for 3 weeks and Justin Trudeau has not even bothered to talk to the protestors. He has no idea what it is like to live with insecurity about whether or not you're going to be able to pay your mortgage because frankly he has led a very pampered and self absorbed existence his entire life. It was so predictable that his response to the truckers was to label them "racists" and "misogynists" and that their values do not align with Canadian's values. No Justin, it's your values that don't line up with Canadian's values.

I have watched as the government has sought to deprive protestors of food and fuel to stay warm (even murderers in jail are entitled to food and warmth). I have watched as the government sticked child services on the truckers who had their children with them. The intent was clear, intimidate parents with the fear of their children being taken away from them. Nothing could be more disgusting. (Anyone remember the howls of outrage at the Americans separating parents from their children at the southern border) I have watched as the government has intimidated various financial supports and supporters and threatened them. It just reminds me of how a despot governs.

This is not the Canadian way.

But most of all what concerns me is the enactment of the "War Measures Act". Let's call it what it is. The cries from the Trudeau sycophants to "send in the army" (pretty rich when you consider how the federal liberals and the elites have starved the army to point of being just a carcass.). All without trying the most basic thing to just simply talk to these people. Establish a dialogue, understand their fears and come up with a peaceful solution where there is no violence. Cause right now the whole thing strikes me as a powder keg about ready to explode. And all this because of some double parked trucks in front of Parliament Hill?

I will leave you with some lasting words. I was watching the news and the CBC reporter was interviewing a protestor in Windsor. He was what you might expect, late 30s, white guy, beard, sturdy looking, bundled up in his best camouflage. He said something incredibly prescient. He looked right into the camera and steeled his eyes and said, "Justin Trudeau just hates us. He hates the working man".

That's the exact truth.

And now Justin Trudeau could very well end up hurting or even killing some people because they don't think like him.

Madness.
