Almost 83,000 saw Man Utd beat Arsenal at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Utd won 2-0 for the regular match and 5-3 specially agreed penalty shootout for entertainment of the crowd.
Full squad for both teams in the first half
Utd still hasnt signed a striker. So Ten Hag featured Jadon Sancho at No. 9. This will be their Achilles heel. Unlike City, Utd needs a bona fide striker to be successful
Napoli has priced themselves out of the market with a ridiculous asking fee in excess of $120 Million for Osimhen

Man Utd signed keeper Andre Onana from Inter Milan. Then signed midfielder Mason Mount from Chelsea. They have just completed signing of 20 year old, 6' 3" blond tuffed Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta. Rasmus is not yet the finished article. Here is hoping he will blossom under tutelage of manager Ten Hag, who has done wonders for Marcus Rashford.

Now that United are a fiefdom club, they can spend as much as they like. Last season Chelsea spent more than Spain, Germany, France and Italy combined. I hope Giorgio Scalvini doesn't go to the EPL as well, that would crush Serie A.

The Glazers of Tampa, FL still own Utd. Club not sold yet. Meanwhile, Chelsea are under investigation for breaching FFP rules during the Abramovich era.

Spurs have finally accepted offer from Bayern Munich for Harry Kane
Ill be disappointed in Kane if he rejects the offer after all of that effort from Bayern. He needs to go and win trophies at one of the best clubs in the world and forget about the all time premier league scoring record.

It would also be great to see arguably the 2 best current English players at Bayern and Madrid.

United have landed basically all their targets this summer, and should improve on last season.

Liverpool’s transfer window started out so promising, but has fizzled out.

Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister are excellent additions to the Liverpool midfield. For Mac Allister, an Argentinan with Irish ancestors it should be like a coming home party for him. Szoboszlai can also cover for Salah at RW which is a big plus.

The fact that these are still the only 2 incomings and we’ve had 7 outgoings is a little concerning. Henderson, Milner, Fabinho, Keita, Oxlade, Carvalho, and Firminho have all left, 6 midfielders.

Our defence is also looking a little thin, and now we don’t even have Fabinho, Milner, and Henderson to cover those positions when needed anymore.

Ten Hag is good but Utd struggled against weaker opponents sometimes. You give the United team to Pep Guardiola and they win the EPL going away due to total football pressurizing opponents into mistakes.

As for Liverpool, I have no idea what FSG is doing. So many departures and too few replacements. They wont make Champions League this year too leading to the departure of Jurgen Kloop

Liverpool has reached an agreement with Brighton for midfielder Moises Caicedo. The fee is a British record 111 million pounds. Whether Chelsea, who were also looking to sign him, will make an improved offer remains to be seen

Very good game today Liverpool- Chelsea. Very high energy, the fans were on fire. Chelsea in the first period did some fancy passing Brazilian style, very nice. The Pharaoh was pulled in the second period, he was angry. As he walked out he pulled the tape of his wrapped hand and threw it on the ground one piece at the time as he was walking out. What a POS. Grow up.

Chelsea had already agreed personal terms with Caicedo since last May till 2031. So Chelsea was his preferred destination. Lets not forget Chelsea also has Enzo Fernandez. Quite a midfield pairing

Man Utd 1 Wolverhampton Wanderers 0

Wolves lost several top flight players and their manager who quit 5 days ago. And yet against Man Utd at Old Trafford, they were by far the better side, creating much better chances. With all the talent at their disposal, Utd looked like blind school boys with errant pass after errant pass. They were lucky to eke out a 1-0 victory. You will never see a Pep Guardiola side perform so poorly because they are pressing constantly. Never sitting back.

Man City vs Newcastle this Saturday in the Oil Classico. Newcastle thumped Unai Emerys Aston Villa last weekend 5-1. Tonali had a great debut, and they looked devastating on the counter with the pace of Isaac, Barnes, Gordon. Expect them to sit in and use that pace at the Etihad.

El Shaaraway is playing for Chelsea?

Aston Villa are about to sign, if not already, the unluckiest player in football.

There was a time when Nicolo Zaniolo was considered the Italian Maradona - unlimited talent. Two brutal knee injuries curtailed his potential. He ran afoul of Mourinho and got transferred to Fenerbache. Yhe price tag is $34 million USD.

In other news, it appears Loftus Cheek and Pobega are gelling in Milan's midfield. Last season the Rossoneri didn't replace Frank Kessie, RLC is expected to take on that role.

From ESPN:

Chelsea have spent €930m on player transfers since last summer. That's €36m more than Real Madrid, Barcelona ... and the rest of LaLiga, combined. Serie A, Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga have all spent somewhere between €1.2 billion and €1.6bn since last summer.

Put another way, Tottenham, who have qualified for the Champions League in half of the previous 10 seasons, have spent about €1bn on transfers -- over the past 10 years; Bayern Munich, who won the Champions League just a couple years ago, have spent €880m across that same stretch. Chelsea have spent more in just over 12 months.

If Man City had spent this amount of money, the sporting world would be up in arms about oiligarchy, sheiksoccer, etc. When Chelsea obliterates spending records, no one says anything. Double standard

Great soccer.
