So what has happened to you?. Either people got buff with all this time off or people got fat because of becoming coach potatoes with nothing else to do.

I sadly became the latter. I am actually disappointed in myself. I lost all that weight and kept is off for a long time and then gained back some of it because of COVID. I lost out in going to the gym, being just overall move active. I mainly gained it in the fall. I was active in the summer.

So I am doing workouts at home now, and it is ok. I don’t like it as much as the gym, but I’m doing it. Kinda like you don’t like jerking off as much as having sex, but you do it and deal.

I am down a few pounds so I am seeing results. I did a get into a bit of a skipthedishes addiction, but that is done. I’m back to cooking and it is good. I enjoy it for the most part. I just allowed COVID lockdowns to be lazy with my health.

How is everyone else doing?

Interesting.
I was the opposite. Pre COVID very busy running around with work, wasn’t cooking a lot or exercising enough and eating lots of shite...gained weight.
During COVID my business went to shit but I had time to cook, eat better and exercise...lost 19 this past year, another 6 to go.
I have to find a better balance when business picks up again or I’ll gain it all back.

People tend to eat more and drink less water when staying at home.

The Key is proper nutrition.

Won't gain much weight eating cucumbers and celery sticks. Pizza and other junk food will make anyone balloon in no time.

I've added a few lbs. I've been staying away from the hobby due to Covid and I have a theory that It's using up all my reserves of will power, and the junk food is calling me!!! Somewhere in my psyche there is a connection between food and sex, when I'm seeing my favourite SP's on a regular basis I have no problems sticking to a healthier diet. (Maybe I want to look slimmer when I'm with a lovely lady regardless of the circumstances)

I find that it's been very up and down. I'll lose a few pounds and then gain them right back. Too many dinners consisting of Subway or microwave popcorn. Two things I rarely used to eat. I love making my own popcorn but find I'll get lazy. I think stress causes me to do that. :(

Then I smarten up and eat very healthy for two weeks or so. Then back in the same cycle....

I've lost 18 pounds since August. I spent most of the lockdown in Thailand, almost 6 months. Food everywhere there so I got fat as fuck, not A&E documentary fat, but still fat.

For me, it was baking. I was busy in the summer but the fall I got bored and did what everyone else was doing - Baking!!!

I found two things. One, I make great desserts, breads, pasties, etc. Two, when I bake all day, I don’t feel like cooking.

Oh and three - when you bake the food, you eat the food.

So being too tired to cook after baking, I ate Skipthedishes take out. Then I ate the baked goods for dessert. It is a no-brainer why I gained the weight.

But you are right, it is a cycle. So hard to break sometimes.

I'm probably in the best shape I've ever been since my teen years. Lots of running every day, even in the cold which I never did when I had a gym to go to. I've always been active but quite a bit more now since so much less socializing and eating out I find it much easier to stay in shape.

For the most part I've gone through the same pattern since my teens. I lose weight during the summer. Tons of tennis when I was young and tons of golf now. And I put weight back on when I don't have a physical activity that I enjoy doing. This year in the summer I got down to a weight that I had not been in 40 years. But even though I've put about 6 or 7 back on it doesn't bother me since I am confident that I will start losing it again come April.

BTW, don't blame Skipthedishes. They will send you healthier foods and smaller amounts if you make those choices.

The first wave was really hard on me but I lost 23lbs since Nov 23rd. I found my motivation again and working out has becaome part of my daily routine. Not everyday are perfect but I take my time and each victory count. ❤💞

One thing that's often overlooked in general and especially for weight loss is vitamins and minerals.

Most people don't get enough Vitamin B (complex), Vitamin D, Magnesium, Zinc, Omega oils. Those are pretty important and relevant for our bodies to function properly.

The guy in that video is Max Pasternak. He has plenty of videos that go into details about losing or gaining weight, working out, nutrition etc. He has pretty good understanding of how body works.

I once recommended foods described in the video above to a friend. It was met with sarcasm so to prove a point I went on a strict meal plan and lost over 20lbs in just under 3 months. I wasn't fat before, so by the end of that experiment I was shredded.

Then, I gained 35lbs back when I went on a meal plan designed to increase mass. Increased muscle mass too.

It takes dedication and sacrifices to achieve one's goal, but it's very doable.

Stay away from pastries, candies, high calorie foods. Eat fresh veggies, lean protein, fish, berries. You can do it!

I weigh exactly the same as my last year of High School. So from a BMI perspective I'm doing well.

But the reality is that for me that's a little light. Been lifting weights and training in different disciplines seriously since I was 17. Osteoarthritis kind of threw a monkey wrench into things a few years ago though.

I follow a strict meat based carnivorish diet most of the time. Sometimes I go Keto for a month or two. So zero carbs.

Get my bloodwork done 2 times a year and know how to analyze it.

All my life I've gained weight and lost weight as desired. Takes a little due diligence with the proper research and application of nutritional science but for the majority of people good health is attainable.
