Why would you want to take at bats away from Springer?
if springer hits behind vlad they are forced to pitch to vlad

vlad gets on now they are forced to pitch to springer

whoever hits for highest average bats first

i think that is the strategy

Reese McGuire with the big club.
He got the word this morning while in his vehicle.

Julian Merryweather to 60 Day IL.

Tanner Roark clears waivers, is a free agent.

I hope that it didn't interfere with anything important.
Nothing he couldn't rub off his schedule for the day.

This is the main reason I didn’t like signing Springer to a long term contract. He never is able to play a full season.

Blue Jay's are pretty bland overall. Looks like a win 3 in a row, lose 4 in a row type season or the opposite. Not much to really get excited about other than seeing how high vlad can keep his ba.

We broke the bank to land Springer and Semien but couldn't muster up some funds to help the pitching by re-signing Taijuan Walker. He ended up signing a 3 year $23 million deal with the Mets. Through 6 starts this season he's 2-1 with a 2.38 ERA. Instead they chose to sign Ray (1 year $8MM) Yates (1 year $5.5MM), Matz (1 year $5.25MM), Roark (1 year $12MM), Chatwood (1 year $3MM) and Stripling (1 year $3MM). How has that worked out so far? We DFA'd Roark (surprise surprise). Yates was damaged goods. Matz and Ray have been good. Stripling's been injured and crap. And Chatwood, irrespective of his stats so far, is a chump.

And for this mismanagement we just gave Atkins a 5 year extension.

This season is obviously a waste. They are playing only .530 (86-76) ball and who cares about the tons of injuries. They should have signed more durable players. It was obvious that they'd get hurt.

I hope you're being sarcastic.

Jays split the series against Oakland, the AL West division leaders, not too shabby. We're now 16-14 (y)

Welcome back to the majors Reese Maguire, let's give him a hand.

I'm impressed with the Jays resiliency. In spite of a rash of injuries and playing more games on the road instead of home, they have a winning record. Asstros are next.

You fished your wish.

To be two games over with the number of injuries they've had, and a few hitters getting off to a very slow start, is to be commended. There is a lot of enthusiasm within and around the club.

They showed a lot of resiliency these last two games. I loved the 5 run 8th on Saturday with only 3 hits and no homers.
