Two guys I'd like to see the Jays acquire, both currently Oakland A's: Pitcher Sean Manaea and Outfielder Ramón Laureano.
Manaea can be a free agent after the 2022 season. Laureano is arbitration eligible for the first time in 2022, but he's currently serving an 80 game PED suspension for nandrolone. That might prompt the A's to part with him for less than his market value. I don't know if that would make him persona non grata in the Jay's organization, but it's not as if he physically assaulted a woman; that's a one way ticket out of Hogtown.
Laureano had core surgery for a sports hernia in October, but is expected to be healthy by the time spring training would normally start. He has speed and power when healthy, and a cannon for an arm. I have no idea how long he was using PEDs, or if his arm strength might be diminished significantly without them.
Oakland's outfield depth is week at the moment, but a package including Grichuk and some prospects might be enough to acquire these two.
