If you saw the ratings mainly due to the gambling involved you would not push it either.

Beyond that there are I believe night games being broadcast on the west coast. Couple that with big US markets in LA, NY (twice if the Yanks get in) and Chicago and you can see how Fox will want to maximize ratings.

Fortunately I wok nights so I'll be happily ensconced on my couch watching the games before work.

Tulo is signed until 2020 or so. Donaldson still needs to be signed after this year, he's not free agent eligible yet, but he's going to get a big raise. Estrada is a free agent. EE and JB have one year left and will both be very costly to re-sign.
