Tickets...whose got tickets.....went online this morning and struck out...now people who paid $66 per ticket are selling for over $200. And they wouldn't sell me my seat from my $99 ball park pass. Maybe I wil stiff my landlord this month and go to the playoffs....

I have a pair of Playoff tickets. My cousin has Jays flex pack tickets and got Second dibs. Back in April it was so easy to get Jays flex pack tickets.

http://www.bluebirdbanter.com/2015/9/24/9391689/how-would-you-set-up-the-blue-jays-playoff-rotation

I tend to agree with the BJBanter article: Price, Dickey, Stroman, Buehrle.
Estrada has the lowest WHIP so he could actually be effective coming out of the bullpen, in high leverage situations.
This is also the most innings he has ever pitched so you don't want him to hit the wall during a playoff game.

Buehrle is a grizzled vet who has pitched in playoff situations so you have to respect that. B has already hit the wall but also knows how to pitch thru it with a cortisone shot.

Also there's a certain appeal in mixing Left-Right and soft & hard throwers to mess up the batters' timings:
Price: Hard lefty
Dickey: Soft righty
Stroman: Hard righty
Buehrle: Soft lefty

Playoff rotation - How would you guys stack it?

I read an article (Blue Jays Banter ?) saying that the post season rotation should be Price / Stroman / Dickey. Have to disagree.

Estrada is one of the top ten starters in the AL. Dickey has been great, but is always prone to the long ball. And with RA, either the knuckler works well, or it doesn't. No Plan B.

I would set the rotation: Price / Estrada / Stroman and use Dickey and Buehrle as spot starters and long guys depending on the venue and the opposing line up.

So now the question is do the Jays go with a 3/man rotation or a 4/man rotation???

I say go with 3 starters: Price/Stroman/Estrada and see how it works from there

Hmmm interesting

If the Jays are down 1-2 in the best of 5, then come back with Price since it's do or die game.
If they are up 2-1, then start Dickey in game 4 with the assurance that Price is well rested for game 5.
Plus, if we win 3-1 and there is no game 5, then Price is well rested for game 1 of the next round.

Works for me.

Nevermind what I wrote in post 4048, just insomnia.

Here
You may not agree...
If you think... I'm not going to take the opportunity to point out the fallacy in your argument, your nuts. I'm going to take every opportunity I get.
I get it!

So, you - like so many other other trolls on TERB and the Internet - prefer to be disagreeable than agree to disagree.

You will have a great future in life!

nice cop-out Perry.

Even when your proven wrong, you stoop to super low levels calling me a troll, and copping out by saying "why can't we agree to just disagree?". The problem with that is, it's no longer an opinion. Your theory has been PROVEN wrong at this point.

Something I'd expect from you.

Anyway, I will now let this go, as everyone else reading this thread will probably see my point and take something from it.

Rough start to this game. Pathetic that they cannot get a lead off triple home...

I'm conflicted about getting the top seed. Home field will be nice but I don't want to face the Yanks again. Yeah, we've owned them so far but they can mash just as good as us, and Tanaka & Severino are tough. They know the Jays so well that I'm thinking its a recipe for disaster.

My playoffs preferences are (1) Houston (2) KC (3) Texas (4) NY.

I guess the dream scenario is take top spot in AL, Houston beats NY in wildcard game with Keuchel pitching and thus face their number 2 guy in the opening round.

KC lose against Indians 6-0, Carrasco threw a 1-hitter into the 9th inning, unbelievable!!!.

Jays are still within 1 game of overall AL lead
