I'm curious. What would you do with people who were in Canada illegally?
What your rhetoric doesn't recognize is people in the U.S. illegally get deported all the time. We have been moving to an untenable model where we allowed many migrants who could make it to the U.S. to simply stay indefinitely. Of course, if you come here legally under our visa system you are expected to follow the law and if you outstayed your visa you are deported.
I would do the following:
If they are recent arrivals, and if they have an asylum case, provide them with an opportunity to file for an asylum claim.
If they do not, then start removal proceedings.
If they are engaged in violent crime, then start removal proceedings.
If they are long term residents of Canada, provide them with a path to legal status.
It might work out this way. The media tends to pass judgment on behalf of everyone while not explaining any of the legality or process.

You know as well as anyone the 14th amendment was written specifically to guarantee citizenship for African-Americans born into slavery.
You also know the Courts will make the decision. That's not unusual for Executive Orders.

Back to the point, I don't think you can declare the Fifth to protect somebody else. If you are not subject to legal jeopardy, I'm also not sure you can just refuse to answer.
If a Convicted felon has now become the President, then Biden was 100% correct to pre-pardon these INNOCENT individuals against a CRIMINAL'S revenge!!
