A post in this histrionic tone suggests you're not interested in having a serious discussion. Perhaps you can surprise us.

I don't think it's a popular position in the U.S. that women should be allowed to be in combat units. Hegseth is a decorated Iraq War infantry officer. I think he has ground-level perspective of what is good for the U.S. Army and Marines front line units. Do you have combat experience you could share with us?

As far as your point about the IDF, when the U.S. is under the threat of ground attacks I will 100% support enlisting women into combat roles.

There are more American highly decorated and both lower and higher ranking female military personnel than Hegseth to negate your and his position.
Trump the cowardly draft dodger had his son issue the statement that nobody will be nominated “who think that they no better” .
If the military tolerates misogyny similar to what Trump and Hegseth have routinely perpetrated than yes woman should not be in combat units.

There will be no political backlash from limiting women's role in combat. It's not an issue most American women and even less American men identify with.

You've probably heard the priority of the U.S. military should be lethality. I can share my opinion that I am concerned that encouraging female participation in combat not only interferes with lethality, but it might hurt recruitment efforts. Recruitment is a failure of our current military leadership.

No one is saying American women cannot serve in the U.S. military.

In the past I posted Fact Checkers from The BBC, Reuters, Newsweek and Real Clear politics, but faced back lash from the righties!!

I have no dog in this current debate.

I just wanted to say the whole "fact checking" thing kind of destroyed itself. I think some bad actors on the left and right turned fact checking into another propaganda arm.

I used to find it interesting to read some of the reasoning or lack of reasoning that went behind a fact check. I'm now fine with just reading commentary that offers opinions on politics, policy and current events.

I'm guessing the reliability of the BBC fact check depends on the issue and the actual BBC fact checkers assigned.
