Yes, and she is not popular. She has nowhere near the star power of Beyonce. I'm sure that if you asked 100 people, 99 of them would be more excited to see Beyonce than Melania in person. And, Beyonce is known worldwide. Melania is a joke in the vast majority of the world (I mean, if you exclude the MAGA-sphere in the US, she's unpopular there as well). But the fact that you think she is as popular (or maybe even more popular) than Beyonce says it all.
Also, don't you think it's weird that she got $28M for this drivel? And, I really want you to think about this for a second: Do you think they could have gotten Melania's permission to make a documentary on her at a fraction of the cost? I mean, do you think she'd turn this down if they only offered her $3m? And, did Amazon MGM really think this would be an amazing piece of cinema that would recoup the price they paid? I mean, $75M is nothing to sneeze at. Or, is the Amazon board looking at the loss and just chalking it up to a business expense to ensure the company continues to get government contracts and little pushback from Trump?
And, while nobody will ever come out and say it was a bribe to ensure Trump and his DOJ didn't fuck with Amazon, I think most people see it for what it is: graft. No other film studio was bidding for this, most likely because none cared enough, or thought it would be successful.
