Puerto Rico's landfills are full. They have a huge waste management problem. The comedian has an obsession with the floating island of garbage in the Pacific ocean. He tries to tie it together in a joke. What's that got to do with Puerto Rican heritage persons in the states? Really nothing. Joke isn't funny and highly inappropriate for this event.

Well for one waste management seems to be a strange thing to bring up at a Trump rally.
Secondly considering his previous comments was about Latinos coming into the US in large numbers and him asking them to go back. (Open arms, go back...)

They read his whole routine prior and they, trump's team, left that in. They approved it knowing that the comic was representing trump and his values indirectly.
