Will Biden step down?

I actually agree with this. Kamala should run. She is the VP after all. If they pick Newsome to replace Biden, that is just a huge snub to the one that has already been VP.
I don't agree. If Biden steps down, he should release his delegates and the Dems should have an open convention. The risk is that it divides the party into factions, but the Dems would nominate the strongest candidate.

Americans let conservative talk show hosts and fox news tell them what to think . It is obvious Trump is a liar who says moronic things

Trudeau is not a great leader. Like most countries the least of us lead the best of us in most positions of power
I'm sorry that's always an uninformed or maybe a wishful fallback. The Fox News audience peaks at about 3 million and nighttime averages are lower. The total Presidential vote in 2020 was 155 million.

I'm guessing that if someone tunes into Fox News they pretty much already have their minds made up.

In our system, the Vice President is viewed as being elected into that position along with the President. It might seem to not make sense, but that's kind of the legal interpretation of the VP position.
"viewed" and "actual" aren't synonymous. I'm sorry if that's how American's view it, as I don't believe an American has ever voted for a VP.

Rush Limbaugh got Trump into the White House along with the evangelists. They all wrap themselves in the Flag .

The former was a liar and the latter are idiots and the conservative politicians are cowards afraid Trump
will destroy them and they are right

Uh huh. So what happens if Biden dies in office before the election? Does she get his job until November, and if so, will that be a coup?
Yes, she gets the job to November. Is it a coup? No! By the US Constitution, it's the same as every other VP. Ford being the most recent (though not due to a death), Johnson (JFK assassination), Truman, Coolridge, Roosevelt (Teddy), etc...

So he didn't have the benefit of a great team. The President is an aggregate of a great team. Sell me on Trump's team.
When it became obvious that Trump would have no problem winning the Republican nomination this time, many prominent Republicans joined his team. More so then when he won the Presidency in 2016. Progressives are very concerned that a Trump Administration will undo many of the Biden Administration's policies. So much so that it is well-noted that the Biden Administration is trying to circumvent the change in policies that comes with subsequent administrations.

I'm fine with a team of Republicans running the show. I'm also fine with Trump banging heads and firing people. I thought Trump's attack last night that Biden never fires anybody is an interesting point. We all should all be concerned with unelected career bureaucrats coming to Washington with their own personal agenda.

It's not a matter of this Presidential team is better than this other Presidential team. It's about who you want setting policy.

Biden was awesome today. First, he had his teleprompters. Second, the audience could have energized him. Last and foremost, elderly people have good days and bad days. Some younger members might not have had daily experience with elderly relatives. The effects of ageing are not linear from one day to the next. It's not even linear one hour to the next. It's very sad to see it and watch it before your very eyes.
And sharks energize Trump...

Evangelists don't support Democrats. It doesn't matter who the Republicans run.

And if Evangelists tuned into Rush or Fox News, they weren't there to consider who to support in the election. That's the point.

Sorry, but do you think that Biden is destroying democracy? If so, how?
No, but arguing one is saving democracy is a form of demagoguery. That's not to say Trump doesn't practice demagoguery.

Yet many Republicans left his team, never to return, during his term in office.

American Democracy to the American people (and the Canadians who watch too much U.S. cable news):

The reports of my (pending) death are greatly exaggerated.

Honestly, I think that's just gobbledygook. Argue it's not.
You're free to have your opinion. If you think the Democrats are saving democracy, I doubt I or anyone else will change it.

But, everyone knows it's a team that runs the government. Led by a leader. No one IRL thinks it's one guy. If you have to google IRL, then give up.
It is however, assumed the President sets the policy goals. He will listen, but make the final decision Because that is what the people elect them on..

People are now questioning who is setting policy. And even who is making the final decisions.

Impeachment is a mugs game. I told that to a guy sitting at a Sushi Bar in Dallas in 2019 when he asked me what I thought of Trump and the Democrats wanting to impeach him. That was after I told him I was Canadian and had no right to comment as I didn't have any skin in the game.

He pressed me so I said it's a "mug's game". He didn't know what a mug's game was, so I told him a game you can't win, you have to beat him in an election.

My same comment to the Republicans. Beat him at the ballot box. And it's not rigged, just beat him.
How about the 25th? Methinks there will be a legit case in the eyes of many Americans. And it won't matter if it works. The optics of a cabal of advisors protecting a senile old man to hold their power positions will be a default position.

And that is anti democracy in their eyes.

Who are "people"? The pundits on cable news? Are they congregating in front of government buildings, or just talking heads on TV?
