Most defendants don't testify. From what I read he didn't testify because the questioning of him would not have been limited to this case but that they could ask him about a lot more. A no win situation.
Wrong. Defendants have the constitutional right to refuse to testify. It normally used where there is a flaw in the police case - i.e. the chain of custody is broken in a drug deals case.

If you don't take the stand in a credibility case, it means one of two things:
1. You're a moron because the jury will assume that your story will fall apart under questioning and think the worst of you.
2. Your story will fall apart under questioning and you're desperate and this is the best, sad plan you can scramble together.

Not to mention this was the first time this type of case was brought in New York where they used crimes passed the statures of limitations to prove another crime. There might be constitutional issue or due process issues. I don't know we will see.
Explain exactly what you mean.

Probably none. Have you?

I haven't. But I have dined (twice!) at El Bulli and attend the TSO opening every year.

And I've been to actual professional boxing matches where people wear tuxedos. Fist fighting (incl boxing) and sports like football where a feature is traumatic brain injuries repulse me.

I'm more of a Formula One kinda guy than a NASCAR bubba with his sleeves cut off his Dale Earnhardt t-shirt.
But, have you ever stayed at a Holiday Inn?

Says the guy who supports terrorists civilians and twists himself into a pretzel when justifying and /or ignoring their actions.
We all know your true colours.
You're not fooling anyone.
Corrected your post.
You back a felon who is paying $85 million for slandering one of his rape victims, was impeached twice and found guilty of fraud multiple times.
You are as honourable as he is.

You really have no right to criticize anyone about anything with that record.

Like I said, you desperately edit people's posts as a sign that you've lost the argument.
Cowardly tactic but no one here is surprised by that. You're just here to entertain us anyway. No one actually takes you seriously. You know that right?

Biden is aiding the genocide. He makes statements that try to convince americans he's against it but is still sending billions in weapons to Israel, blocking UN resolutions and threatening the ICC.

Look closer.
Its going to lose him the election.
Well Netanyahu is the one that received the arrest warrant by the ICC. But it is The Republican controlled House that voted to sanction the ICC. No doubt it will eventually be thrown out by the Democratically controlled Senate.

But the USA is not the only nation that has sent arms to Israel. Canada and other NATO as well as EU Nations have also done so. Does not mean that they are all complicit in the genocide, as Israel has been considered to be a key ally in that region. The Israelis themselves are pissed off with Netanyahu's handling of this whole war in Gaza, as he is pandering to the very extremist elements within his coalition that want to eradicate not just Hamas, but The Palestinians as well.

It would have been impossible for Trump to testify in his own defence, because of MerCon's Sandoval hearing decision made before the trial started!! Also, Judge MerCon, wouldn't have let Trump get in a word edgewise, because of Mercon's dumb "gag" order against Trump!!

Get a word in edgewise? Do you realize it is a courtroom? And there is protocol? And it is not a discussion, coffee klatch, shouting match, tv show, nor a debate? Once again your news sources are actively misleading you.

Judge MerCON has no protocol. That's the problem!! MerCON ruled for the prosecution all the time, and never once for Trump's defence team!!

I would tend to agree with you.
Democrats are divided as to whether they set a precedent to go against their allies (which one day could result in a similar action being taken against the US); or side with Republicans and proceed with sanctions.

Biden is talking out of both sides of his mouth on this and has lost the confidence of Democrats as a result.
