Israel is a classic example of the failure of proportional representation, since 2003 Israel has had more elections than Italy. During that time Orthodox extremists and militant Zionists have increased their power base. The Knesset has 130 seats, 11 parties now sit within. Five hard right parties have aligned with Netanyahu into a solid political block. Bibi doesn't have to worry about contesting another election until early 2027. What happened in Italy has happened in Israel...do you want that for Canada?

Here another scrap of history, the Wiemar Republic of Germany adopted Proportional Representation. From 1924 until 1932, Germany had five elections with the National Socialists and the Marxists increasing their power base and paralyzing the country politically.

And there's the Hitler one, right like clockwork.

More violence won't help.
There were attacks by Israel in 2015, 2018 and 2021 on Gaza and more before then and none created peace.

You can't kill the entire democratically elected Hamas government and police force.
Even if Israel did kill the tens of thousands in Hamas there are still 2 million people living in Gaza who wouldn't just bow their heads and live under an apartheid blockade.

If you want peace Israel needs to deescalate for a change, not kill more people.
End the occupation or end apartheid.

For Israel, this is the equivalent of the Tet offensive. Iranians are apparently students of history...

Hamas supporters in the West Bank celebrated what happened in Israel earlier today. Draw your attention to the weapons they’re carrying. Those are American weapons—M4s. Just what happened to the billions of dollars in arms Joe Biden left behind in the failed withdrawal of Afghanistan?

Last I checked Dubya invaded Ghan and Trump made the dumb peace deal that promised to withdraw US troops. Don't know where Biden comes into that equation.

Besides, there are probably a million M-4's floating around. They'd be almost as common as AK's.
