More violence won't fix anything, it'll just lead to more violence.
The people of Gaza tried protesting, Israel shot civilian protesters every friday for a year in 2018.
There have been no peace talks for 9 years.
Trying to subjugate the indigenous population through violence won't work for the minority apartheid rulers.
The only way left now is a South African style campaign to end apartheid.
Not violence.
And Israel will retaliate by once again targeting apartment buildings, schools and hospitals as they did in 2014.

I some how I doubt those in Ottawa and Canada that think sunny days last for ever, or that the world is just one big happy place where hugs and feel food politics will solve the worlds problems.

As I keep saying, and being told I'm an accelerationist, tough times are coming to the world. No one can predict the catalysts. Certainly no one saw this attack coming. But unintended consequences as other nations priorities come under threat can quickly cascade things.
They're about to get wiped out...Israel has no patience with terrorists.
CNN has reported that Israel has turned off the electricity that it supplies to Gaza. The remaining small amount of power still coming from Gaza's three turbine plant supplies perhaps 7% of their total need. If Israel bombs the power plant their will be no power in Gaza.
I thought Yasser Arafat was put in charge of the Palestinians and given his own independent enclave with it's own security forces.

Seems that Gaza has been an intolerable pressure cooker for decades. Israel hasn't done anything to loosen the screws. Netanyahu probably wasn't the best option for diplomacy. Don't know how much they would have had to do to mollify the Palestinians, but some sort of compromise might have helped? Too late now.

But Hamas apparently murdered a number of non Israeli kids attending a nearby music festival yesterday. For no reason.
The apartheid and the Palestinian violence feed off each other. But as long as Hamas attacks Israel, there is no incentive for Israelis to liberalize and they can self justify the violence and attacks.
Hamas and Hezbollah don't want any sort of rapprochement. They control the Palestinian population by claiming to protect them from Israel. The last thing Hamas wants is lasting peace.

One thing we North Americans likely have any appreciation for, except the US after 9/11. Is what war/conflict is like when it’s your own backyard.
