It is a great tragedy, war is stupid.
So is an illegal occupation and so is apartheid rule.

This is exactly the same thing that happened in 2021. Hundreds of settlers backed by the army marched on Al Aqsa mosque and Hamas responded by firing rockets. A few days ago 800 settlers backed by the army stormed the Al Aqsa. That's stupid.

You really want peace with MBS and Saudi Arabia, toguy? The last reports I heard was that Saudi had broken over talks because of the Palestinian 'problem', which includes a massive uptick in armed settler terrorist attacks throughout this year.

As basketcase just said:

This is why there will be more violence until international sanctions end Israeli apartheid.
That is the only solution to this violence left.

Protests and sanctions for equal rights.

This violence has been going on for a long time and its mostly committed by the occupying, colonial settlers.

I am never suprised when Franky tries to blame the Jews for everything.

First off, this was a highly coordinated attack which means it was not a spur of the moment decision.

Second, in what world is Jews quietly visiting their holy site as approved by the Islamic WAQF justify thousands of war crime rockets fired towards cities and abducting women and children to use as hostages.

And yes, you may pretend to be supporting Palestinians when you cheer for Jewish deaths but as long as the Palestinian leadership and a significant amount of the people believe violence is a solution, the Palestinian people will continue to be the losers in any fight.

As I said before, pretty sure this is about an imminent Saudi/Israeli peace deal. Coupled with a nice 50 anniversary of the Yom Kipper war. They shot their shot with thousands of missiles to overwhelm defenses. Now Hamas awaits the reaction, gets the footage of Palestinians bodies for the Arab in the streets, and hopes it gets derailed.

Ugly ugly business.
Of course it is. Hamas is well known for using violence to derail any move towards peace.

But usually they're smarter enough not to broadcast videos of the Israeli women and children they abducted.

I don't follow much Israel news, so was the rocket attack a retaliation for storming the Al-Aqsa mosque? Not an unprovoked one?
No, this was a well prepared mission.

And it is only people looking to incite racist hatred who refer to Jews visiting their holiest site in WAQF approved times as "storming'.

The Abraham Accords were only accelerated colonialism.
All they did was try to award Israel more of Palestine and more rights over Palestine.

But this has been going on for 75 years, during which Israel has continually taken more of Palestine while still claiming to be the victim.
If you want peace either end the occupation or end apartheid.
Yes, the first report I read said 800, this one says 1,000.
Exact same start to the last round of violence in 2021.

More pathetic justification for Palestinians choosing violence and war crimes.

A great tragedy for Isreal and the Palestinians. This will simply grantee more reprisals, more deaths on both sides and any hope of resolution will be pushed out many years. The real victims here are the Palestinians. This was undoubtedly intended to derail the talks between Israel and Saudi Arabia.

The usual crowd will cheer Isreal deaths and hostages. This will have the opposite of the intended effect. It will strengthen Bibi who Wal faltering and bring left and right together. Once again a senseless and idiotic attack which will prolong Palestinian suffering. Congratulations franki and the others.
Bibi is celebrating, I'm sure.
The extremists on both sides here constantly reinforce each other.

This is a little different, isn't it? This Israel-Palestinian conflict has been going on endlessly for over 75 years.

The Trump Administration believes a new approach and progress was being made with the Abraham Accords. It doesn't matter if it is sustainable or not.
Is it?
There’s plenty of time for rhetoric and slinging mud. If those are his first words and thoughts, just hours into it….

Are you sure about that? Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was negotiating in good faith with Yaser Arafat for peace through the Oslo Accord. He was assassinated by an Orthodox extremist named Yagal Amir, since then the region has gone to shit.

Israel is a classic example of the failure of proportional representation, since 2003 Israel has had more elections than Italy. During that time Orthodox extremists and militant Zionists have increased their power base. The Knesset has 130 seats, 11 parties now sit within. Five hard right parties have aligned with Netanyahu into a solid political block. Bibi doesn't have to worry about contesting another election until early 2027. What happened in Italy has happened in Israel...do you want that for Canada?

Sounds more like you resent it working?

Granted the Auzzies are gnats on the world stage same as Canada, so we don’t hear too much about them. They seem happy.

NGY you lost me, why Australia. Granted, life is good there, extremist parties don't exist. Canada is a semi-fractured country.

Here another scrap of history, the Wiemar Republic of Germany adopted Proportional Representation. From 1924 until 1932, Germany had five elections with the National Socialists and the Marxists increasing their power base and paralyzing the country politically.

That's an antisemitic trope.
Not all Jews are zionists.
25% of US Jews say Israel is apartheid.

For instance, IJVCanada represents Canadian Jews who are against the occupation and apartheid.
Don’t really “disagree”. Do have some Jewish friends, with direct family still there. On the whole, they think while not perfect ( nothing ever will be) they are fairly happy with it. Nor have I ever, ever heard discontent from Auzzies.

Can you say the same about Canada. Lmao, just read this forum…

/back to Israel
and war.

Chill, squeeze. You have to take into account the possibility you are tone deaf and can only hear opportunistic rhetoric from the other side.
Not at all but you have to think you maybe a bit of a Trump "groupie" and in your eyes he can do no wrong and must never ever be maligned.

The only ones who can bring peace to the middle east are the people in the middle east. The sheer arrogance of any western leader to even state that they will bring peace to a region of the world that they don't actually understand or know anything about. 😂
Perhaps.

He's a loudmouth and more arrogant than most (or all) politicians. I just think arrogance goes with the territory.

Well, at least I cannot disagree entirely with you on this post except that I don't believe arrogance comes with the territory and yes, there has been some arrogant POTUS but not all.

From what I have heard, Jared's had trouble putting deals together. He was supposedly focusing on taking Saudi money and investing in high-growth Israel business opportunities. Perhaps limited experience is part of the issue.

That doesn't make it all right to exploit your sojourn in the White House. It certainly looks like a reward for some type of loyalty to the Saudis. It's just that this $2 billion is not remuneration. It most likely has to be invested in order for Jared to earn fees.
