I don't think analytics can measure something like that.Fuck analytics!!!! , Berios was cruising.
Shatkins think that they're smarter than everyone else and were trying to be sneaky. Well, they fucking outsmarted themselves.

Pitching was there but as you said in a previous post you can't win if you don't score.I don't think analytics can measure something like that.

I'll stick to my post. The Rays...The Rays.
The Jays have come off a good series at The Trop where they went 2 for 3 (and should swept). The Rays are beat up and missing many key players. In addition it will be indoors and weather will not impact the play. I remember Gausman wasn't sharp against St. Louis in Game 2 of the season and attributed it to being cold. He prefers playing in warmer climes and will be the Game 1 Starter.
Couldn't agree more, Berrios was pitching a gem. He was in the zone and would of gotten out of that inning. If John Schneider does not let go we know who is really managing the games (Ross Atkins). If you are just managing the games based on analytics may as well have AI be the manager. No way you pull Berrios in that situation.
Another wasted season.
True. And Kikuchi sucked.Couldn't agree more, Berrios was pitching a gem. He was in the zone and would of gotten out of that inning.
Yep. Even after John Schneider has stated that he pulled Gausman too early last year...I just caught the last 2 innings, so the Twins scored after they pulled Berrios?
Sometimes (often) the eye is better than the analytics. Too bad Schneider didn't stand up to the analytics and it just might cost him his job... But, you can't win a game when you can't score a run. 18 innings and 1 run.If John Schneider does not let go we know who is really managing the games (Ross Atkins). If you are just managing the games based on analytics may as well have AI be the manager. No way you pull Berrios in that situation.

In the post-game analysis on TV, the general consensus was that Schneider was not the one to make the call. It was pre-determined that Kikuchi would come in early. Joe Siddall said it's good to have a plan but you have to actually watch the game.Yep. Even after John Schneider has stated that he pulled Gausman too early last year...
And only 3 runs last night.True. And Kikuchi sucked.
But c'mon. The other team scores 2 runs means you normally win. It's the offence here. Like always.
Agree (see my other post). In the post-game analysis on TV, the general consensus was that Schneider was not the one to make the call. It was pre-determined that Kikuchi would come in early. Joe Siddall said it's good to have a plan but you have to actually watch the game.
I wonder if the big-heads will man up and have Schneider's back and admit that the decision to pull Berrios should not be on Schneider.
A frustrating dumb call. But again, Twins got just 2 runs off Kikuchi. It's not like they hit him for 4 or 5. We should have got those runs back ffs!In the post-game analysis on TV, the general consensus was that Schneider was not the one to make the call.
