I hated this goal too…. What can you do? The Leafs are not built for “put the whistle away” hockey…. They need power plays and open ice.I'm don't consider myself the complaining type leaf fan like most but good fucking God this was a penalty.

I'm a Habs fan. But I'm a city of Toronto fan. Greatest city in America. Yesterday you guys were robbed. Pure and simple. I'm still pissed. Leafs are the second most important club in this league yet they get snubbed by these Americans fuckers. It's really time for Toronto to fight back.
??? That's news to me. There are a number of groups that have showed interest and the rumoured proposed bids are coming in higher than expected. So the play was already whistled dead before the puck crossed the line...interesting.
Considering that the Maple Leafs kick in a subsidy to help struggling teams in the NHL, including the Florida Panthers who barely sell out their arena, this is a Rikishi Stinkface to the city of Toronto. Look at Ottawa's problem finding ownership now that the Melnyk family is gone.
The call on the ice was no goal. So, it takes clear evidence to overturn the call on the ice.I'm not saying its clearly the right call. But it's also not clearly the wrong call.
No doubt but I can see the refs easily missing that. It happened so quickly.I'm don't consider myself the complaining type leaf fan like most but good fucking God this was a penalty.
That's news to me, who are these rumoured bids? The Senators are bleeding money to the tune of $400 million, Eugene Melnyk couldn't underwrite the team fast enough. The red ink isn't going away, then you have to hope that the citizens of Ottawa are willing to give the new owners the same sweetheart deal that Daryl Katz got in Edmonton. Taxpayers subsidizing billionaires...where have I heard that before???? That's news to me. There are a number of groups that have showed interest and the rumoured proposed bids are coming in higher than expected. The probable reason that Remington is out (the group where Reynolds would have been the minority "face" of the group) is that the bidding is more competitive than they initially expected.

Ottawa is not LA.
Even the 1960-1970's Montreal Canadiens who were built for speed and skill had their tough playoff hockey players like John Ferguson. Show me where they are on the Toronto roster.I hated this goal too…. What can you do? The Leafs are not built for “put the whistle away” hockey…. They need power plays and open ice.
Tavares and Matthews: $22.64 million in salary, 5 game series, 0 goals; Leafs 0/2 on the power play last night.Hearing post collapse interview comments from Matthews, Marner and Rielly reminded me of the Muskoa 5 :
: “ we have a great group of guys, we love, trust and have confidence in each other etc. etc…“
Keefe : “ we lost the series in the first three games.“ I‘m now convinced that what Keefe said after game 4 was a back door criticism of the core players‘ performance of the first three games.
When you’re among the highest paid players in the league, giving an honest effort is not good enough, you have to produce enough to help the team win. Tavares and Matthews failed miserably.
Penalty?I'm don't consider myself the complaining type leaf fan like most but good fucking God this was a penalty.
No way that’s a penalty, Gudas just drove to the net which is his what he’s supposed to do, he probably distracted Woll a bit in the process and that was the key to the goal being scored. No doubt but I can see the refs easily missing that. It happened so quickly.
Bottom line is Leafs have nobody to blame but themselves for this series loss.
The giveaways in their own zone during the 2nd and 3rd periods were atrocious.
Matthews played his best game of the series last night but Bobs owned him. Where was he for the other 4 games though?
Your best players have to play like your best players and they just didn't get the job done.
I think we've seen enough. We aren't winning with this crew.
Those Habs teams had two generational defensemen: Serge Savard and Larry Robinson. The Leafs haven't had a superstar defenseman since Borje Salming. I still contend that in the 2015 draft they should have selected Noah Hanifan not Mitch Marner.Even the 1960-1970's Montreal Canadiens who were built for speed and skill had their tough playoff hockey players like John Ferguson. Show me where they are on the Toronto roster.
