Funny guy!!

Another psychologist explains and analyzes the CPO's case against Doc Pee.
If you listen to this, the interviewee lays out pretty clearly how Doc Pee repeatedly and clearly broke a number of CPO rules. There's nothing subtle or unpredictable about what he did. He basically did the shrink equivalent of laying a massive turd in the middle of the intersection at Yonge and Bloor and then dancing around it shaking his dick and spitting on passers-by.

If you have a personal need to follow, listen to and believe in an asshole who calls himself a "doctor" and then rants and struts in a way that you like, that's on you. But Doc Pee is being grossly unprofessional when he does it. And there are consequences.

The bottom line is when you enter a profession and obtain a license you must go through hoops and once obtained you must follow the rules and guidelines and promises one makes to keep the license. The licensing body dictates the rules and decides the punishment for when the rules are broken. You can debate, cry, and stomp your feet but it means squat because you and the rest of us, have no say.

In the view of the licensing body, Peterson broke the rules and if they decide he no longer is qualified to hold on to the license then it is their right to take it away. Unfortunately, he will not suffer financially and actually make more money from his gullible simp following. Just as it is the licensing body's right to take the license away It is the simp's right to spend their money as they see fit. ;)
You've obviously never had to deal with something like this... Hopefully, you never will.

You know... I don't like him. I didn't really know his larger media presence and what I've seen, I don't like. It doesn't disqualify everything he says...

I'll take a look at the video that you posted.

Honestly, I'd rather return to my original purpose for being on Terb and that has nothing to do with culture wars, I had enough of that when I was in university and teaching... it's a big waste of time speaking to people who have their mind made up... tiresome.

In the list of agrarian pursuits of the New Right, "anger farming" is always accompanied by "simp milking". They go hand in hand.

I think he's annoying. I think he selects his statements and opinions with an eye to making as much money as he can.

I think his opinions are 50 years out of date and well behind the times, especially for a professional. And apparently, they are also against NUMEROUS ethical and professional rules. And I'm sure he knew that and set himself up to be disbarred - or whatever you call it as a shrink - so he can posture and grift around the conflict.

Do I personally dislike him?.... No. He's annoying in the same way Musk is annoying or other people of the same type are annoying.

You mean the kind that all the right wingers enjoyed when Elon fired all those poor employees from Twitter and proceeded to mistreat and troll them online?
Twitter was losing money. It was a dysfunctional for profit business that seemed to be run as some kind of community service and social utility.

Will it be successful under.Musk to justify what he paid for Twitter? Who knows? I wouldn't bet on it. I would not want to be holding Twitter debt.

So perhaps there will be plenty of schadenfreude for right wingers and left wingers.

It's too bad Peterson's re-education couldn't take place in a camp in Nunavut.

Losing money, yes. Dysfunctional, no.

Exactly. He is an opportunist who has simply leveraged right wing outrage to make money.

He's been given some courses to attend - probably virtually. Levitt will appeal to Divisional Court, which will back up the CPO. Doc Pee will grift for "financing" for the judicial review.

Peterson will refuse to take the courses and publish a book about how his free speech is being infringed and join the rightie talk show / conference circuit and appear on Fox as a commentator.

Maybe he can co-host some events with Kyle Rittenhouse.

What you call "right wing outrage" isn't right wing at all. Most ordinary people understand that trans is an unfortunate mental illness, that being able to invent pronouns at a whim is silly, that men and women are fundamentally different, and that decorum is important. This is why the teacher in Oakville caught so much flack and action is being taken.

The outrage is coming primarily from people that want to cancel JP and have failed to do so for 7 years.

Exposing facts like the wage gap myth is not right wing either, though it causes outrage among those that have been conditioned to believe it's true.

Incels are not a political group with any particular affiliation either, and telling them to become more desirable and productive is not right-wing advocacy.

No, I haven't because within my industry I follow the rules and guidelines.

Good for you!!

The human sciences may be a little looser than what you do! You might be surprised what people get accused of and how loose things are when professionalism and being offended come together...

Knock yourself out with your superiority!

I agree. There comes a point where there is no longer any purpose in continuing to argue with some of these guys. It is no longer a good faith debate/discussion.

Are we seriously arguing whether women are capable of holding positions of power? Is it actually ok for a licensed clinical psychologist to engage in online fat shaming? It’s beyond ridiculous to argue over this; it just allows oneself to get dragged into their filth.

It’s always the same people, too. They’re the same ones who refer to Justin Trudeau as, “blackface” and “groper”. As soon as I see that kinda talk I automatically know that this is not a serious person.

Seriously?!.... Because some polygamous neolithic village has horny, angry dudes and they raid the other village over the hill which has available ladies?!

How is that even remotely related to 21st Century North America?!?!?!?!

🦍 🐸 😺 😧🙈:ROFLMAO::D;):unsure::geek:😺😼🙀
It isn't particularly relevant to 21st Century North America.
I'm just saying that when he says "you can see this in the anthropological literature" it is a more accurate statement than many he makes.

The proceedings between CPO and DocPee, linked.

It's good form from Peterson here to put up all the correspondence. (I am going to work from the assumption he isn't leaving things out.)
What's interesting about that is it really does make it look like the OCP is acting above board here.
Given what was submitted, the complaints they got, and their own matrix of action (Which he included) then it looks like the decision to give him a chance to remedy this before they take any drastic step like taking his license seems right in line with their standards and procedures.

I think Doc Pee basks in the self-assurance that his fan base will adopt his viewpoint that ANY attempt to censor his professional public speech is unacceptable and the only acceptable outcome is to allow him to say whatever tf he wants on any occasion he chooses.

So what appears to most as a genuine attempt by the CPO to enforce professional standards in an even-handed way will appear to Doc Pee's adherents as "tyranny", regardless of the objective facts.
