It's always been two nations. When the South abandoned open segregation and the Democratic Party in the 70's, they found they had a lot in common with the traditionally hardcore GOP Midwest farm belt. Both were ostentatiously patriotic. Both were obsessively religious. Both hated change. And both hated the Democrats and the big cities. And the rest - as they say - is history. You just needed enough pricks and grifters to manipulate things and a few decades to let it all simmer and boil.In watching all of this unfold, I can't help but wonder if all this is the lead up to the next American civil war.
In 1860, the issue was slavery. Pretty clear cut. Either you believed in slavery or you did not believe in slavery. Conveniently, there was a nice easy geographical line that separated those in favour of slavery (in the south) and those who did not believe in slavery (the north). Now it's not so simple from a geographical point of view. However, America is truly polarizing along political lines. When I see this regressive Supreme Court of the United States taking America back essentially more than 50 years and I see Clarence Thomas (there's a guy who has to go, from what I've read, he's totally unfit for the job) talking about rescinding gay marriage and even birth control and you wonder if this could even be happening, you can't help but wonder what the fuck is going on in the United States. Was it always there? Just simmering under the surface?
In the last couple of days, the issue of a civil war has been discussed quite a lot in the media. The idea that there is actually "two United States". When I first read about the notion that America was heading for another civil war I thought it was the dumbest thing I'd ever read in my life. Now I'm not so sure. Texas talking about seceding, Florida's current whackadoodle Governor. Everyone is a racist, Roe v. Wade. Fuck me, it actually might happen. I really wish the Americans would take a step back and just calm the fuck down.
And don't just think that the stupid is the sole property of those on the right. The left has more than its fair share of the stupid. Stupid is an equal opportunity thing.
Leftism to-day and for the past decade or two is a cult. Here is an example. So how can the left get back in power(because they are going to get creamed in the mid-terms). Reject the disgusting woke mind virus frauds and return the the reasonably respectable kind of people you used to be, just a bit left of center. Instead, you moved over toward the malevolent socialists bent on societal destruction and embraced complete idiocy like defund the police, BLM policies, going soft on criminals, structural racism lies while implementing structural racism policies, trying to direct kindergarten kids into homosexuality/gender change, mass illegal immigration welcoming, foolish man-made global warming policies, etc. If you want to embrace the pink haired freaks and 16 year old scolding girls for policy, get ready for more conservative judges.
BS nonsense.Leftism to-day and for the past decade or two is a cult. Here is an example.
Me: Homeless people who can't even take care of themselves should not have children.
Lefty: Homeless people have the right to procreate as many children as they want. It's a human right.
Me: But don't all lefties support abortion?
You got a little confused on the difference between permissive pro choice and forced sterilization there, bud.Leftism to-day and for the past decade or two is a cult. Here is an example.

One would have to conclude that he talks in tongues. Maybe religious practice? You got a little confused on the difference between permissive pro choice and forced sterilization there, bud.

So they can't put in legislation? Continue to allow the Overton Window to push right? Lets face it. They are useless. And there is nothing they will do about this. Except fundraise. No, we don't agree but your reasoning is gobsmackingly stupid.
Electing Democrats is necessary but not sufficient.
There is some fault in her hubris for staying in. She could have stepped down for a younger healthy successor and enjoyed a long career in a prestigous chair shaping a new generation of young minds. Instead she stayed beyond her best before date. What a load of BS. Blaming Ruth Ginsberg instead of the 3 Trump Judge who all lied through their teeth when asked about abortion law.
"I bet dollars to donuts it is strictly due the cost of setting up a clinic and the security "I bet dollars to donuts it is strictly due the cost of setting up a clinic and the security of themselves and employees and clients.
It's not up to the Federal or Provincial governments to set up these clinics.
So bust your family doctor over lack of access.
But those numbers was against Trump. Biden at least should have done much much better. In fact, the Dems did reasonably well in the actual vote numbers.
The doctor will ask the women, but they won't refuse her request. The man's opinion is not relevant nor do they need his permission. The sole decision about the abortion falls to the pregnant women.Question: To get an abortion in Canada, does the woman and/or man have to give a reason why they want/need an abortion?
No no not "forced" abortion. The question is really a choice of what is a better life for the mother and the baby.He is not advocating forced sterilization he is arguing for forced abortions for the homeless.
The Dems get huge vote numbers in hardcore liberal states like New York and California, that skews the popular vote number. But those numbers was against Trump. Biden at least should have done much much better.
I mean I could beat a 5 year in a boxing match but anything but a crushing win is a loss.
