Yep there is only a very small portion of people who are pro-vaxx / mask mandates. Most of them are against them and just comply to senseless regulations without understanding that they do NOT have to follow the mandates at all, legally.

Guess you are not aware the CDC dropped masking mandates for a vast majority of the States. We have far less cases here yet masking remains. Science means shit. Pure Politics.

As has been the case since the beginning, the main purpose of wearing masks is to significantly reduce the velocity of droplets emitted by people with the filtration being a secondary benefit. Any infected people going around without a mask to limit the spread of their droplets creates a risk.
Wearing a mask has some impact on the chance of catching covid but as droplets shrink as they travel through the air; masks to stop from catching other people's covid are less use than masks to prevent sick people from spreading it.
I've always been aware of the doctor's waiting room where who know what infectious problems are sitting beside you.
