LOL. They are not moderate. They are conservative. That is not up for debate. They may try to frame what they're doing as being moderate, but it really isn't. Also, it's not like it's $3.5T every year. It's over a decade. And it's still a fraction of what they're spending on the military, even without two wars. Plus, there is so much crumbling infrastructure in the US that it will become a greater problem as time goes forward. They really can't afford to let it get much worse. I mean, Flint, MI, is a great example where lead is in the drinking water due to shitty pipes. And the reality is, there are other cities and towns that are probably worse off.
You can argue by more or less the same reasoning over a CDN $350 billion
spending plan here in Canada for building our infrastructure which I think
is badly needed too. The reality is after expenses on other items our government simply won't have that much money left. The U.S. can at
least print their currencies which we can't but for them to cut nation's
military budget is sacrilege.
Biden and his administration is going to be hit big time
by inflation even without the $3.5T spending bill passed.
You have to be rich to think inflation is good for the economy.
I now have to budget my monthly expense on food and may
have to worry about running a deficit by next year.
