You mad??
I think you're starting to see that masks made ZERO difference, and its bugging you that I turned out to be right
So, even if you will never be a mask proponent, you cannot validly say as a blanket statement that "masks do not work" or "masks are useless" as there are no studies that prove that. It is your own opinion based on anecdotal personal observations. To repeat, there has to be a study showing two groups of people exposed to the same environment for the same period of time, one with masks and one without masks.
There actually are studies that prove it. I'll post them later today when I have time
That was 10 days ago. I knew you couldn't prove it.

Bullshit. There are more factors involved than just masks and you know it.

And I repeat that it is disgusting that you have a laughing smiley while posting that Ontario sets a new high. I have lost some respect for you
I'm laughing at the fact you guys cant admit masks dont work, I'm not laughing at people dying.

But think what you wanna think

Zero difference huh...the really smart people that study this for a living say it would be even worse if no one wore a mask
When we're only 11 months into the pandemic there's absolutely no way they can say for sure whether masks work or not.

So far looking at Ontario, Spain, Italy, France, Denmark.....etc, it hasnt done a damn thing

I'm too lazy to google all the studies, but Tegnell and Löfven have both said they have yet to see any peer-reviewed studies that show masks will stop or slow down Coronavirus transmission. Furthermore there's that CDC study which I've already posted that said it made virtually no difference whether you wear a mask or not.

And as I've also said before, only N95 masks will make a difference. Even thats debatable however, because people would either have to sterilize them every day, or wear a new one very day (like they do in hospitals). And of course very few people are gonna adhere to that

Again, it would have been worse.
I actually think wearing masks have made things worse, and our current MUCH worse 2nd wave would prove that.

Here's why: https://www.thelocal.se/20200514/explained-why-is-sweden-not-recommending-face-masks-to-the-public

"Face masks in public spaces do not provide any greater protection to the population," Johan Carlson from the Swedish Public Health Agency Folkhälsomyndigheten said at a press conference on May 13th.

Swedish health authorities argue that keeping a distance, washing your hands, not touching your face, and staying at home if you experience any symptoms are still the best ways to halt the spread of the coronavirus. There is a concern that wearing face masks would make people follow these guidelines less strictly.

Prime minister Stefan Löfven told reporters at the same press conference: "There is a risk of a false sense of security, that you believe that you can't be infected if you wear a face mask."

In addition, the Public Health Agency states on its website that wearing a mask could increase the chances of you touching your face, because of itchiness or as you adjust the cloth. Every time your hands touch your eyes, nose or mouth, the risk of being infected with the coronavirus increases.

"The virus can gather in the mask and when you take it off, the virus can be transferred to your hands and thereby spread further," state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell told SVT.

Healthcare staff use face masks as to prevent bacteria from transferring to their patients. But face masks used in hospitals are generally of a different kind than single-use, lightweight masks bought at pharmacies.

"Face masks can be effective against larger free floating particles [connected to air pollution], but nothing suggests that they help protect you from air-borne viruses," Tegnell said to SVT.

So why are other countries recommending face masks? Well, one reason is to increase people's feeling of safety. Another is as a precaution, to protect your surroundings in case you are, unknowingly, contagious

Swedan took a different approach and others are questioning it.

While people are getting infected at a record rate you are still able to laugh because you think that masks don't work. By that rationale, I assume you'd post a sad face if rates went down because it would go against your theory. Like I said, disgusting.

Where in your link does it say Sweden will recommend (or mandate) people start wearing masks??
(which is kinda the topic of the thread)

Amazing that you have spent hours posting but to find a study that would unequivocally prove once and for all that you are right, all of a sudden you are too lazy? You expect people to believe that? LOL. You are so willing to prove your point that you post a laughing smiley while in the same post reporting a record high number of cases. Sorry, this issue is obviously too important for you to all of a sudden be too lazy to shut all of us up. Not at all believable. You just don't have a study that PROVES that masks make no difference.

And because those guys have NOT seen something, does prove one thing. It proves that they have not seen that something. It does not prove that masks don't work.

If there are no controlled studies with one group wearing masks faithfully and one never wearing masks and both are exposed to the same environment for the same time frame, you CANNOT unequivocally say that masks do not work. That is the ONLY study where no assumptions or projections need to be made to come to a conclusion. In this study, there are no other factors to consider. THE ONLY VARIABLE IS THE MASK. It would be unequivocal.

Talking about logistical shortcomings of wearing masks means nothing in terms of mask efficacy. That is a logistical matter.

I'll wait for your studies so I can check their methodology before even looking at the results.
