Sweden is not what we should emulate far from it.
While you may claim that "Sweden success" and they have flattened the curve without overburdening their healthcare system, they haven't overburdened their healthcare system yet, and they haven't flatted a curve that was not what their actions or intentions were nor is it what has happened. The reality is without proper measures and keeping businesses open as usual the healthcare system will be overburdened at some point they have been lucky that it hasn't happened yet, whether that happens remains to be seen.
Sweden compared to their immediate neighbours Denmark and Norway is not fairing as well, they all saw the first jump in cases within days of one another those two countries took drastic measures while Sweden took the lax route and they are paying dearly for it. It's very clear that they have numerous deaths on their hands that could have been avoided had they taken the proper measures.
The measures or non measures Sweden has taken is absolutely what we should not emulate. If there is one country we should learn from its Taiwan. Not only did they take preventive measures prior to the virus coming into their country but they also took excellent tracing and health measures simultaneously to the preventive measures to ensure they are keeping fatalities and cases to a minimum.
Opening businesses without proper tracing and health measures in place is definitely what we should not do, and unfortunately the same people who are complaining about businesses being closed will be the same people who will be complaining about the tracing and health measures that needs to be in place.
What I find interesting is that this terrible pandemic that made the whole world shut down and hide inside, is treated by any health system as a common flu. If you test positive, you are told to go home and drink lots of fluids.
I assume you are talking about the Canadian health system? In the US of course if you test positive but have minor or no symptoms you are going to be sent home. When until a few weeks ago many hospitals were overwhelmed with patients, had to delay non critical surgeries etc, of course they can not tie up beds when the have such a shortage of nurses etc., epecially in NYC. NY had to bring in an army of nurses and doctors from all over the US to relieve overworked staff and major hospitals esepecially in NY but also other cities.

Mostly from an honest, legitimate news channel with many videos showing almost every day the inside of a few NY hospitals and live on-air interviews with on-scene docs and nurses from various hospitals around the US. Recently the showed the difference from the tape of the previous visit to one hospital where shown gurneys lining the hallways since no beds available and in the last few days now empty halls at least but plenty of patients.
Instead of just Trump/Putin propaganda Fox commentators (not real journalist news). They have guests from both parties, including Trump defenders. And fact-checking is usually playing the video of a Trump lie and detailed real fact-checking that real journalists do not Fox. Often they play the video of Trump saying one thing and then later the opposite. Very well documented truth-based news not "alternative facts" and the Trump Show.

Holding off on elective and non-critical surgery is a prudent call, even in Canada where we never came close to exceeding capacity.
NYC was by far the worst hit city and the situation was grim so Trump sent the navy ship as backup.
It turned out that the ship wasn`t need and ended up barely used.
No other US city has come even remotely close to the situation in NYC.
What other US cities came close to their health system capacity?
I am not aware of a single one.

I don't have time to watch a 20 min video, but at the beginning, it tells of the overwhelmed hospitals opposite the title. Probably in the last few weeks, few patients as the rate of new infections were much lower than what the Trump team had projected, and hospitals had to plan for.
In Arizona, we are starting to allow elective surgeries again as long as a hospital maintains two weeks supply of personal protection equipment and has at least 20% unused capacity. Hospitals in total were losing $400-$500million a week not having elective procedures done and the massive cost of COVIG 19 care.

O'Reilly also pointed to uprisings against draconian measures in Michigan and Brooklyn, New York, adding Americans will be fine with wearing face coverings in public through the summer, but they will not stand for staying home any longer than two more weeks.
