Keuchel snot-weaseled for SIX RUNS in bottom of 1st inning. Texas leads Astros 6-0.

That Pennington dropped ball in the outfield reminds me of a game a year or two ago where the umpire called the infield fly rule in an almost identical situation.

I was surprised that the Braves did not argue for an infield fly rule call...the purpose of which is so base runners know they don't have to advance. Good win tonite,,,,I actually don't think we have seen an A plus game yet from Price since the first week

Looking forward to home games so I can go and not have to listen to Pat Tabler. I think tomorrow I am going to leave the sound on all game and count his repetitions....and his second readings of charts (most Jays fans can read for themselves)

Good defence bailed Price out in the 5th where he looked shaky.

Looked to me Penny dropped it on purpose . Runners cant stray too far from their base on shallow popups, and he took advantage of it .

The ump must've judged the play too difficult for the infielder and waved off the infield fly rule . It has to be an easy pop-up or blooper catchable with ordinary effort according to the rule book .
Also infield fly is not reviewable.

That thought did cross my mind but it appeared he did make a sincere effort to catch the ball.

In case anyone is interested, MLB.TV is only $9.99 for the rest of the year including playoffs. Live stream every MLB game including the Jays in HD quality. You can choose between the home or road team broadcast and watch anywhere with an Internet connection. There are no more blackouts for the Canadian region.

I've been streaming free Jays games through KODI this year and the quality is hit and miss sometimes. I ditched Rogers cable a while ago , too much money for too many garbage channels. LOL

Just remember to cancel it before spring training or it will auto-renew at full price for next season.
I agree MLB TV is great. I think that special is only for some post season games (selected ones).

Another comfortable win.

I like these type of games, easy on the blood pressure

Magic number is 14 for the East title. The Jays can eliminate the Redsox this weekend with 2 wins.

I know why you had to spell it that way because the proper spelling would not have pass the board censors but I notice "Polo" got a pass.
Why would there be a censor on Marco.?..........THe 8 zeros are for the 8 scoreless innings he pitched last night.

Marco

You're right. Looks like the censorship rules have changed. There are some words/names that are subject to censorship but looks like "Marco" is no longer on the "no name" list.

************
I keyed in another name (Justin Trudeau's father's first name) and it is still on the "no name" list as indicated by the series of ***************above.

4.5 up on Yankees, as we win and Mets do their job as well.

Assuming we win the AL East, what match ups do you think would favour Jays? At present, Houston and NYY are the WC teams and KC and Texas are the other division leaders.
