The Blue Jays haven't been blown out (5+ run diff) since July 4th.
They've had 12 blowouts of the other guys in that time
Thanks for that very interesting statistic

Tonight was an almost night....Bautista almost caught the double in the second, Revere almost caught the homer in the sixth, Tulo and Goins almost pulled off what would have been a most sensational dp, Hutch almost pitched a good game, the home plate ump almost got a couple calls right.....and we almost made a game of it in the fifth.

I don't understand the plight of the Orioles..I think they are a better team than the Yankees and before we upgraded, I was picking the Orioles to win the division..tonight they looked like the team I thought they were.

Oh well, tomorrow looks good with Price pitching and I will be sitting right behind home plate with my girlfriend.

10-2 O's up in 8th. Game is clearly lost. IIRC, our only BAD defeat since the trading deadline and our worst pitching performance. Marks a return to the bad old days of the first half of the season when Hutch imploded regularly and the bullpen even more frequently.
With Stroman on the brink of return, Hutch may have just pitched his way out of the rotation.

Lets hope. Stro is a much better talent, and I'm not sure Hutch has what it takes to ever become a major league starter

Well that fucking hurt. The occasional beat down like this one last night may help them down the stretch. No one will lay down for them. Something they must always have on their minds.
As much as I like him, that may have been Hutchison's last start of the season and maybe as a Blue Jay. I would worry a bit that he may go elsewhere and blossom a la Chris Carpenter, but if the 2015 Jays are better for it in September then so be it. The Jays can trade him during the off season and at least get something for him.

Here
Heh, pissing old farts with my posts is a blast :D
In my 14 years (!) on this board I have seen a lot of idiots come and go... and you are the king of them all: King of Idiots.

What people do and say in this, anonymous, board often says a great deal about their real personality: I pity your friends, co-workers and family.

The ignore list is for the ignorant, so there you go!

The concerning thing w Hutch is that he was supposed to have left this type of melt down behind and the "new Hutch" of the last 3 starts was supposed to have arrived - especially at Rogers. I am sure he will get more starts, if only from necessity. But you never know if the Good Hutch or the Awful Hutch will take the mound.

He is prone to sudden meltdowns, especially against the tougher lineups.

So put me on ignore then you pussy. I've been waiting for you, Costanza and busterhut to do so for a while now.

Further trolling of you following me around and calling me Einstein or other names will just result in me trolling you back.

So I trust you'll put me on ignore now??

TIA ;)

No panicking here. But, after over a month into a new league,Tulo still looks uncomfortable at the plate. I noticed most times at the plate Tulo took either 1st strike fast ball or he was always in a 0-2 hole. Just my two cents.
If it didn't work at a 5th spot for Tulo, is there any chance he would bat...3rd? Flip flop EE and JB in the batting order? JB goes back to clean up and EE goes to 5th? LOL...you can tell I don't have much things to do at work early in the morning!
Or Tulo just suck it up and goes back to batting lead off. Revere was going good for awhile at #9.

Tulo will eventually hit (forget last night)...as Revere came around (forget last nite). He belongs fifth or sixth....... but if he had no past record, I would not be so sure...he does look uncomfortable and I wonder if he looks different than when he was a Rockie.

Meanwhile his defence has been marvelous and sure.....don't know how to calculate how many runs he may have saved, or how much better he has made the pitching (forget last nite).....or even made Goins an even better second baseman (forget last night)

Take out last night's game (Hits: Colabello 3, Martin 2, Pillar 2 Bautista 1), and Tulowitzki is batting .297 over his last nine games, with stellar defence.

Huh??! Why do you get so upset over AK-47's posts??!
All he said was Goins had moved up the batting order ahead of Pillar as reward for his good hitting as of late.

Why are you always so grumpy??!

This was in my pregame thoughts as I witnessed Harpass in the stands as elections are coming and you know the political bandwagon has to show up at " a cultural event" ...

Harper and Mulcair blamed for Blue Jays losses on social media
The Jays lose both times federal leaders bring their campaigns to the Rogers centre

Blue Jay attendance straw poll says if Justin or Elizabeth show and Jays win you as a BJ fanatic may have to choose between the Libs or the Greenway!!:thumb:

This is the real reason the Jays had such an off day yesterday...this type of off day has happened twice already...

Not to be Anne Elk but I have a theory about Tulo's continuing hitting woes, he no longer has the luxury of hitting in high altitude location. Denver is more than a mile above sea level, Toronto isn't. He'll come around, he's far too talented not to, but it's going to take longer than anticipated.

I am officially on Tulo's watch. He struck out with the bases loaded with one out in the bottom of the 3rd. Could have blown the game wide open with a hit! This is the thing about Tulo. If he can't hit ALE pitchings including the Yanks in a week time, Toronto we might have a problem. You guys are going to say that I sound too negative. But, if I were the Jays I could save money by trading Tulo and use the money to sign Price. Goins could fill in at shortstop next season and Travis back at second. I am willing to eat my words if Tulo is going to have a good series in NY next week:eyebrows:
