That would depend on the quality of the lefthanded pitcher
A manager can only work with what he has been given to work with.
Pitching sucks!
Now that we are second guessing who would you have brought in? My guess is there may be no correct answer!

Is there a different Jays of which you speak because he never managed the Toronto Blue Jays.

I'm saying he's the best of a sorry lot
ok I agree on the sorry lot......it is easy to second guess, I just don't think it matters which lefty you bring in, they all have issues.

Gibby won't be here much longer unless they start to win. He will be the fall guy as AA tries to save his sorry ass!

This season is all AA has, with or without Gibby.

I hope you are right. He has increased the operating budget of the team and has nothing to show for it.

Big deals that look good on paper but he never gets the job completed. Always leaves the team with glaring weaknesses

AA really dropped the ball on pitching. That was one area that needed a very urgent upgrade. All the way from 2009 the ERA has been over 4.0. Year after year he failed to bring adequate pitching to the club. Six years of substandard pitching is enough. It's like he has a blind side. The bottom line is, I can put together a decent hitting line up. Putting together a solid bullpen is a whole other matter. AA just doesn't have it.

Redmond starts today for Sanchez to give our 4 starters one extra day rest.

Francis has been designated for reassignment

Designated for assignment**(or DFA)[1]**is a contractual term used in**Major League Baseball. A player who is designated for assignment is immediately removed from the team's**40-man roster, after which the team must either:[2]

return the player to the 40-man roster within 10 days from the date of designation, or make one of the following contractual moves:

- Place the player on waivers
- Trade the player
- Release the player
- Outright the player from the 40-man roster into the Minor Leagues

Another thing I noticed Jays arent very good at clutch-hitting.

Has anyone else noticed that?? Or am I being overly harsh??

Situational hitting appears to be an unknown art with our team. They pull everything hard to 3base.

And I think it all comes down to pitching.

If Bautista or Encarnacion know their starters are gonna keep Jays in close games, they are more apt to hit for opposite field grounders or sac flies.

If they have no faith in pitchers keeping the game close they will just try pulling pitches for homeruns so they can pad their personal stats.

Thats just my opinion, I could be wrong

And just as we write that, Jays pull off of one of the greatest clutch-hitting innings of the season

I'm still not convinced of Pillar btw. Phenomenal defense, not that much hitting
