I fully expect the leafs to get the split tomorrow night, Buffalo will come down off their high and RC will probably ream out his club on the ride back to Toronto.

Leafs looked really lost.
They needed the 5 on 2 ... lol

It is going to be a long three games.

us Sabres fans haven't had a lot to cheer about lately, It great when we can beat the Leafs and looking for another win tonight. I like the new group Pat and Ted hopefully the boat is now steered in the right direction.

Yup, they were MIA:confused:, that's why they accounted for 14 of the teams 33 shots on goal and Kessel came within inches of scoring the tying goal.
Unlike SOG's in sex, SOG's only count when they go into the opposition's net. As much as I like Kessel, he really screwed up when he passed to an opposing player and then the puck went into his own net off his skates.

Leafs trade with Ducks for a center.
Toronto gets Holland and another player.
Ducks get Blacker and a pick or two.

I only heard this while driving so details may not be accurate.

Anaheim gets Jesse Blacker, a 3rd & 7th, the 3rd becomes a 2nd should Holland play 25 NHL games.
Toronto gets Peter Holland and Brad Staubitz.

SOG are only good when they are on the opponents nets, DUH. Thanks Capt Obvious. That's why they don't count shot on your own net in the stats. The three still got 14 shots on the other net in the game. You of course pick on the one thing that wen throng. Why do you check pout ow many other players have had basically the same thing happens to them? Oh, I forgot, you don't google. Kessel, JVK and Lupul are second only to Bozak of shot percentage and Kessel has more shots, points, and goals than the other on the leafs. Even though he's meant to be the sniper of the team he is second to Frenson in assists. He make mistakes once in a while they all do, but he is definitely one of the cornerstones of the offence.

The only team that has Kessel number has been the Bruins, thanks to a Redwood call Zdeno Chara.

Whew !

Just pull it out.
Raymond finally closes the book on this one.
I thought Reimer played very well.
I like the new guy Holland. Nice move Nonis, gave up a player in Blacker who was not in the Leafs future plans.
van Riemsdyk likes being on the wing apparently. :thumb:
Now to get Kessel going ... again.
Unfortunately it looks like the end of the road for McClement as a Leaf. He really helped the Leafs PK last season, but as another poster already pointed out he looks lost so far this season, although I thought he played well last night.

Next up the Islanders on Tuesday.
Thursday(Nov 21) vs Nashville the Leafs start to get some relief at centre when Kadri comes back. I believe that is also the date Bozak can come off the DL. He could be back as soon as next Saturday vs Washington.

Go Leafs !

Jesse Blacker was rated between 6th & 10th in Toronto's top prospects.

Ben Scrivens posts his 3rd should out of the season last night ... He is number 1 in LA for awhile till Quick gets back from injury ... Do you think a team in Alberta could have used this Alberta kid this year ? LA's pick up of this guy shows why they are where they are and why the Oilers are where they are .

Why is it that this type of comment is only made once a player is playing for a team other than the Leafs? Were you complimenting the Leafs last year for having him on their roster?

Yes I was .. if you have a specific post you are refering too please share ... If you can't which I am pretty sure you can't then I can ask you why are you posting this comment ? Scrivens had no haters in this city and it's nice to see he is suceeding .

There was no specific post but just a trend that I seem to notice. It's like when somebody plays for the Leafs all the critics come out but once they leave and have a modicum of success it's like they should have never let him go.

He was decent for the Leafs and I liked him but I don't think anybody looked at him as a bellwether of a team's fortunes as you seemed to imply in your above post. Did you feel that having Scrivens last year was an indication of what type of organization the Leafs were/are?
