I think young men have as much, or more, “game” as any prior generation.
I might question that.

Communication skills have been eroding since the advent of home gaming systems. Communication is integral to having game.

When I was 21, I was volunteering at the hospital for a reference letter. A Native 14 year old entering High school made a moves on me. I ignored her. She was not happy.

Years later she saw me entering Walmart and her coming out next to me with "uggh" sound. She is still single.

Conclusion, I didn't want to get in trouble but yet she is angry at me after all these years.

The Covid 19 vaccine made communication worse.

Not been my observation with my offspring, who quite easily have been able to get jobs, that were not set up by parents, establish real important friendships and also even closer relationships, succeed in leadership roles at work etc. Tho, their lives have been focused in the real world, not the online one. The online world is still hugely important, but they have figured out where its place is. A lot of younger people have. All is not lost as many of us “older” people whinge about.

Have to agree with you. As a guy in my 60's I had the pleasure of working with a lot of impressive 20 and 30 year olds. Very talented individuals who had a lot of discipline, hard work and brains. Also for the most part had a lot of common sense and knew better than my generation to keep work in perspective.

They have always needed protection and security. The credit card monster has been lurking for thousands of years.

Only short term, a blip. Home video games have kept kids from interacting with each other for over 40 years. That's 2 full generations of kids that don't know how to relate with other human beings.

Then I'd suggest that somebody instilled some good values in them.
