Watching second episode of season two.
Something has been on my mind since this show started.

Also watching. Don't know. Don't think they ever said and in case they do, I don't want to know.

i like this show. i do have to wonder though, how many seasons can they pull off. there is only so many things you can do with the whole world dead and people scavenging and trying to live. there will come a point probably pretty quick where they realize they have done what they can do and are gonna start repeating shit. i am hoping for at least 2 more seasons before they hit that road block though.

I love the show but it leaves me with so many questions. I mean how the fuck did all of the hallicopters go down and all of the tanks crashed etc. You would think its pretty easy to just have the army shoot these things in the face and win. Another thing is they should just find some weapon silencers to fuck up the zombies, problem solved. I wonder if that black family made it out safe, from the first episode.

Read World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War . It explains in realistic detail how a "Zombie Virus" would over take the military, govt. etc.

As far as "helicopters" etc. if this virus ran quick and it will because of the aggressive host, the army would be over run quickly. Mass confusion and break down in command would occur shockingly quick. I don't want to spoil the series but if it goes as the illustrated series then you will see why the virus spread so fast. It's more than just bites and zombies.

Look at the mass confusion that 15 minutes on 911 caused. Can you imagine 90,000 infected in Week 1, 180,000 week 2, 1,000,000 week 3 etc. The world would go to shit in no time and it's an aggressive host for the virus.

Actually the speed it spread they really didn't have time to outline the virus. They know jack shit about it thus far and the CDC guy only explained how it works somewhat but nothing else. And even that was speculation.

This show reminds me alot of Jericho(the black gent in the first episode was actually in Jericho in a pretty good role). When shit falls apart people usually turn on each other....That would explain how it spread so fast. The webisodes from this summer were not bad(though I'll never try CPR ever again)but one glaring thing did stand out.Did that farm seem a pretty exposed to you? They can go many seasons based on the longevity of the comics with some very good storylines.

Its funny how time has changed what society finds cool or acceptable.30 years ago ALL horror films were 18A.Showing one even on cable in it's full goriness i don't think happened but now basically one long horror film is one of the hottest properties in pop culture and is accepted as Sunday(of all days) "must see" TV

i haven't bothered checking the comics but yes, the farm being a safe zone and all is a little fishy. i think we'll see a revelation perhaps next episode.

the blonde girl's face pisses me off. Arghhhh they should have killed her off instead of her sister :'(

agree with the farm safe haven. It doesn't look safe or protected.
The blonde played the female police officer in the horror movie "Silent Hill"...she was pretty hot there!

The blond also played in the X files as the hot chick that worked at the UN leaking information to Mulder. BTW I don't understand why they continue to drive around in crappy cars and a crappy motor home when they can have any vehicle the want. Can't they just pull up to a new motor home dealer and drive away with a clean reliable unit. If I were them, I'd drive around in a transport truck with a great big moose bar on the front, plow through anything that got in the way. Just saying.

Don't, they're disappointing. The TV show is WAY better. Because they don't have time to cover everything they cut out a lot of the boring crap.

For those wondering about the safety of the farm...

SEMI-SPOILER ALERT...

Did you see the barn at the back of the farm?

No, it was not covered.
I just watched that episode again. The CDC Dr explained that, after being bit, the infected person volunteered to allow the remaining Drs to watch her become a walker in hopes that progress could be made to find a cure, but the pandemic was already underway.

I want to know ...
How did it start ?(man made, natural)
How did it get into the population ?
How fast did it spread ?

In the movie "28 Days Later" some do gooders tried to release some monkeys, infected with a man made virus.
The monkeys immediately attacked the do gooders and away it went.
It spread like wildfire across England.
