At least Jerry Jones gets it right. That guy can do no wrong.

Everyone seeing it differently these days, but we'll have to see what happens to viewership this coming weekend! will numbers be down again?

That's an oxymoron.
hehehehehe.
I love Canadian Football, the field is shaped oddly for more passing.

Hope Johnny Manziel goes to the CFL...he was amazing in College,
but he partied hard like the rest of you (with no cell phone videos around).
hehehehehe

Go Colin KAP, he needs to be on a NFL team!!!!!!!!

The players should start their own league. They could call it the USFL.

I'll be impressed by the protests when players start sitting out the actual games... and losing their pay check in the process.

Put your money where your mouth is...

Kneeling during the anthem has become so easy it's a joke protest now. But start cutting their pay and we'll see right quick who is willing to protest and who isn't.
Actually there are a lot of football players that donate money to causes..... Marshawn Lynch gives out backpacks with school supplies to inner city school kids. An award is given out every year to a player for community service.

At this point if people are going to stop watching football because of what the players are doing they are being completely ignorant. This has nothing to do with hating the country or disrespecting the anthem. It's a way to draw attention to a problem and start a discussion.

In a country that prides itself on freedom, it seems there are some who would rather the uppity blacks just shut up and run the ball.

But who knows maybe if all those fat slobs who have been wasting their Sundays, Thursdays and Mondays can take a break from watching football and make America great again.

Colin Kaepernick has donated $1,000,000 over the past offseason to various charities.

Deshaun Watson (Houston starting QB) donated his first NFL game check to stadium employees who were hit hard by Hurricane Harvey

I saw that ratings are declining over the last 3 weeks (something like 11% over last year). Prior to the Trump unity stuff..... wonder how many lost viewers are now watching illegally via streaming services? Wonder how many lost viewers are busy sorting themselves out after the hurricanes?

Much better than the Blues Jays one dollar per ticket donation if you ask me.

Plenty of guys do stuff quietly.

London Fletcher talked about how in the last few days he's been talking about race more than his whole life. To me that is a success.... opening race dialogue.

I forget now? what is the kneeling in protest for? its it against Trump? against the police treatment of blacks? or is it against NFL players treatment against wives, girlfriends and dogs?

I think the most recent stuff is players, owners, coaches supporting the rights of people to kneel during the anthem as a form of protest.

But the reasons are different

For the black players its because they probably have experience racial profiling etc.

For the white players they probably did it to be good teammates.

For coaches I think they did it to bond with their players.

For the owners I think it had to do with trump tweeting boycott the NFL.

Wow. Direct TV is being swamped with requests for refunds on their NFL subscriptions. Direct TV publicly announced they'll offer refunds for people disgusted by players protesting the US Flag and the US anthem. Fans are denouncing their favorite NFL teams after supporting them for years. Internet is awash with NFL fans burning their NFL gear. Ratings for NFL football was already down about 10% this year. They can't afford another 10-20% of fans turning their backs on the league.

And people said the NFL would never recover after the last players' strike and the league using replacement players.

Whatever they may lose in the short term over this controversy will be exactly that. Just a short term problem. The fans will always come back. These protests will be forgotten.

No one (that I am aware of) is protesting the flag or anthem.
