There's sentiment and then there's pocket book.

It will be interesting to see if Canadian pollsters have the same difficulty in polling as U.S. pollsters.
Somewhat, but a parliamentary election doesn't work the same as a presidential one - especially one with the electoral college.
So the effects of being off are less dramatic.

So Harris would have turned on the US's allies, come after Canada, back up Russia and attempt to rob Ukraine of it's minerals for nothing in return? Okay bud, just admit you were wrong for constantly supporting the Repugs under Trumputin over the Dems .
Her shit show would have been different. She would have have overseen the continued proxy war in Ukraine. No chance at a peace deal, billions spent. And Americans not happy about it.

I agree very different trade dynamic. But the economic decline due to an inflated stock market, inflated real estate market, and coming recession would have occured. We would still see American subsidiaries laying off Canadian workers, and reduced trade as a result.

I can't predict the Gaza situation, but I think it would have turned out about the same. Syrian collapse occurs. Support about the same. Bibi would have done the same.

Harris would have been weak on foreign policy. I think she would not have been running things nearly as much as you think.

Essentially Ukraine needs Europe to fully step up. American opinion has turned on foreign wars. It was her stance in this that was partially the cause of her loss. So the point is moot. She lost because voters didn't want her. Don't blame voters for outcomes, or anonymous posters on pooner boards. Blame the candidates.

Observations are not outcomes.

This why exactly why I don't trust today's media. They spin the narrative one way or another.

So... I decided to watch the ENTIRE conference which is about 50 minutes long. It was pretty friendly for about 40 minutes, until Zelensky escalated things.

Watch the entire conference for yourself, THEN make up your mind.

He did not escalate anything.
He politely told Vance he was dumb for talking about diplomacy in Russia's favour.
But Vance and Trump being inexperienced with actual diplomacy didn't know how to handle it tactfully and ended up yelling at him.

True, but at some level accurate polling is needed to understand where the electorate is moving.

It doesn't matter.
See, anyone who did anything to delay the decline was actively evil because of how much better things will be after the decline.
(That's when he is not arguing that there is no difference between the Democrats and the Republicans. See, the advantage of his position is he just gets to shift it as convenient.)

Yes, but the question is always "how accurate"?
The 2024 polls were pretty accurate, but the US presidential race hinges on breakpoints far more dramatically than a parliamentary general election in Canada.

I didn't hear Zelensky shouting...get it right. Trump and Vance attacked him verbally and Trump pointing his finger at him and not allowing Zelensky to speak...despicable.

100%

This is Trump doing "The Art of the Deal" for Ukraines minerals

That was "screaming" obvious when Vance butted in. NO FUCKING WAY would he have butted in on a meglomaniac like Trump unless Trump preplaned it

You have to feel for Zelensky begging the world to save his country and democracy while dealing with a meglomaniac

How many lies did Trump say ? No way has USA spent more than Europe on Ukranine

MAGA followers will party

I'm not sure if you're confused, lying or gaslighting... or you simply see what you want to see.

It was Vance who politely told Zelensky that arguments and bickering are reserved for "behind the closed doors" and not in front of the media.

Something tells me you didn't watch the entire video of the conference. Only click bait clips.

Republicans approved the last aid package back in April: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/apr/20/us-house-approves-61bn-aid-ukraine
Ukraine is currently still feeding off that.

Now if you want to argue that Trump might cut Ukraine funding off, that could be true, but it still remains to be seen.
I do admit its not looking very good for Z unless he makes that mineral deal
Of course i want to argue Trump would cut him off. That's the issue. Everything before that is irrelevant because Agent Orange wasn't in office.

Zelensky's argument from what I'm making out is it is not an agreement to end the war.

Zelensky doesn't want to negotiate a ceasefire. Why?
Also Trump should demand full financial transparency. No more funding until Zelensky presents his financial records from just before the war started to the present. Wonder if his net worth went up as much as Turdeau's?

No the yelling started, when Zelensky cut in and asked "Can I ask you something" and then proceeded to educate Vance on why "diplomacy" with Russia was not going to be trustworthy.
He was trying to indicate that not just Ukraine, but the US, cannot trust Putin. Without saying those words.
But Trump and Vance are inexperienced idiots and couldn't read between the lines and started browbeating him with their pedestrian twitter talking points.

Like Elon wore a cheap, ill fitting jacket over HIS t-shirt to the White House? Looks like a Value Village jacket that the old red velvet wallpaper steak houses used to keep around for those who didn't know they needed a dinner jacket to hear Frank Sinatra and eat garlic bread?

I did notice President Musk's son X-pi R squared was wearing a suit and tie (that appeared to be bought for him by his mom!) when he told VP Trump to shush his mouth and reminding him that he is NOT the President :ROFLMAO:
