That's exactly what CNN was probably hoping to do but Tiger Woods isn't like Jessie Smollet or Bubba Wallace.

I was just having fun; In all honesty, I could not give a damn about what goes on in the Republic of Yankistan.

Small percentage or not, I think they are on all trains. So, why not on all cars? It's like airbags and defibrillators and fire extinguishers, you hope you never need it but when you do you're glad it's there
But how's it going to work? A train travels on a fixed track and obstacles are probably visible a half-mile ahead. The train guy manually resets a switch every 60 seconds and if he fails, the train's power cuts.

You want to be doing lane changes on the Gardiner at 120 kph in heavy traffic and worrying about resetting a switch?

And what if you have a heart attack and veer into oncoming? The dead man's switch won't activate quickly enough to change much.

From another member
"You can't compare driving a train to driving a car. Tesla does have a system that may have prevented Tiger from crashing if he did in fact fall asleep. But this technology is very expensive and it will be a long, long time before it's standard on all vehicles."

Anyway, Elon Musk will invent something.

Why do golfer get hurt? No, it's not because they get hit by 250 lbs linebackers. It's the stress put on their bodies from the way they swing the club. (Tiger also gets hurt from crashing cars.)

Why are back pain and spinal injuries plaguing golf?
The harder they swing, the more twisting of their back which causes too much stress. If you watch a video of Tiger's swing you can see the tension of his back. If you watched Jack Nicklaus, his swing was more fluid because he lifted his left heel on his back swing eliminating that strain. He never had back issues. I think.

A new report says Tiger never braked before going over cliff. Did he fall asleep or try to commit suicide?

It does raise a couple of questions. Was Tiger not taught the proper swing to ease the stress on his back and/or maybe bad genetics? He does seem to have a lot of back problems.

One of his problems was that he built up his muscles too strong and has a very athletic swing which puts too much stress on his lower back. Remember, when he was early in his career, he was the longest hitter on the tour. He is now paying the price. I think the same think may happen to DeChambeau.

I don't really follow golf but it seems to me that the pro tour is 11 months long. That is too long. No time for R and R. It is also an individual sport which means you can't take a day off and have someone else take your place. I say the same for tennis.

[/QUOTES. PGA golf pros must play a minimum of 15 tournaments per year which is not a lot but most play many more to stay in the top 125 which enables them to keep their card to be able to play the next year and make money. What I love about the sport of golf and tennis if you don't play well you don't make money.

They are also individual sports so you don't need to rely on a teammate to succeed/win. Yes, I know you can have a group of golfers play against another group of golfers and there is doubles in tennis.

Difference between golf and tennis. If you hit a bad golf shot you are automatically penalized. If you hit a bad tennis shot but stays inbounds and your opponent misses his return, you win the point.
