Crash happened at 7:12 AM. Judging by the front end damage, he hit something much larger than a utility pole. If I were to guess, I'd say he fell asleep and drove off the road causing the vehicle to endo. Toxicology will determine any evidence of drugs or alcohol. Time will tell...Single car wreck- he was the sole occupant. Telephone pole near the wreck. Wonder if he's back on booze and drugs.
i heard that he took pills and said he didn't realize the effects drivingCrash happened at 7:12 AM. Judging by the front end damage, he hit something much larger than a utility pole. Saying his "vehicle careened 500 feet into the wrong lane" doesn't make any sense. 500' is the length of one and a half football fields. I could believe the vehicle traveled 500' off the roadway.KTLA just said his vehicle careened 500 feet into the wrong lane and then into the ditch
Without a seatbelt and airbags, they're calling the coroner...Looking at the wreck on TV its the airbags and seat belt that saved his life for sure
Thats whats being reported. Maybe he fell asleep??Saying his "vehicle careened 500 feet into the wrong lane" doesn't make any sense. 500' is the length of one and a half football fields. I could believe the vehicle traveled 500' off the roadway

Saying his car crossed traffic and rolled approximately 500 feet makes sense. The original statement didn't. As for falling asleep, see my post #7.Thats whats being reported. Maybe he fell asleep??
Whatever dude, I'm just echoing the news reportSaying his car crossed traffic and rolled approximately 500 feet makes sense. The original statement didn't
I always laugh when I hear Police say "speed was a factor." That can mean a lot of things. Like it was a factor in the severity of the damage. But it mainly means the driver was operating the vehicle at a speed in excess of the driver's capability to react to conditions or a bend in the road. You'd be amazed at how fast a good driver can pilot a vehicle (any vehicle) around corners. Whereas an average driver would have trouble keeping the same vehicle, on the same road at half the speed. Most people are shitty drivers.Police are saying speed may have been a factor.
He may have just been driving too fast and lost control
Or in more relatable terms, a mid length par 3 or a 9 iron for the pros.500' is the length of one and a half football fields.
It is somewhat ambiguous but when I hear that term I take it to mean that the driver was speeding in excess of the speed limit and it may have been a factor in the accident. I think that speed limits are established keeping drivers' capabilities in mind.I always laugh when I hear Police say "speed was a factor." That can mean a lot of things.
