Sure, let's continue to demonize the kid who was minding his own business walking home and got killed for it, and praise the wannabe cop who arms himself and follows people who are minding their own business. Again with the Skittles and Arizona. No Robitussin? Well, they say 2 out of 3 ain't bad, but in this case, 2 out of 3 ain't LEAN.
If that's all the evidence there was I would agree with you. But when they have screenshots of him seeking out directions to make LEAN ("coincidentally" using 2 out of the 3 EXACT SAME INGREDIENTS that he was found with) and his liver showed signs of damage consistent with LEAN usage, that's some pretty damning circumstantial evidence.

That said, even if he was making LEAN, that doesn't justify shooting him if he wasn't trying to kill Zimmerman. But it does submarine the "sweet young man" image the media and family were trying to portray.

Would it be self defence if TM killed GZ because he had a gun on him? I can play this game too.

And how many different brands of pop and candy are there?

What are the odds that a 17 year old marijuana user who has expressed interest in making lean and asking for access to Robitussin just happened to have those brands on him?
So versatile 1... are you going to answer my question?

You're avoiding my question, what if GZ was an ET? Or how about what difference does it make? Or how about he wasn't, so who cares?
If he was ET???? May have had issue regarding our laws as he would not have US citizen. I would think of the case quite differently though. That would be a huge reason for Martin to be scared of being followed for sure, and I would really question why the ET was following him. Clearly the neighbourhood watch wouldn't work in that case. I would wonder even more about why Martin didn't go home and why he would attack the ET? Would change the case for sure. But I don't think the ET could claim self defence and I don't know if I would believe self defence. I don't know enough about ETs.

Now what if Zimmerman was a woman? Care to comment. Would it still be self defence? Or a racist murderer getting away with it?

Why is it that people arguing about this case insist on leaving their own common sense out of it... eh Fuji?

The evidence at a trial is always like a bunch of dots in a puzzle... the dots are usually clear enough to see and understand, but "the trick" is to link them together to see the picture that they reveal... and you have to link all the dots, not just the ones that you like or prefer while leaving the others out.

In the linking of those dots a person is supposed to use reason, common sense, reasonable possibilities and probabilities, life experience as to how things happen, logic, etc.... unless, of course, s/he was present and actually witnessed the events.

What do you think is the most probable and/or most likely explanation, for example, of the dots "Arizona Watermelon drink," "Skittles," and his Internet posts about lean?

I am not saying that this is conclusive of what we can infer about this case, but if your common sense, experience and knowledge leads you to the conclusion (that is, linking the dots) that all that is mere coincidence, then I want to offer to sell you the George Washington Bridge: how much are you willing to pay?

Does any one think that TM's character is irrelevant to what may have been going on in his mind at the time? If he were a brilliant Harvard prodigy with an unblemished record and a history as a pacifist, would that mean anything to you in trying to figure out (link the dots) what may or most likely have happened?

Perry
It's because Fuji is reciprocating what GZ supporters have been doing - leaving out their common sense.

Here's some common sense - someone was staring at someone else while on the phone in their car, as confirmed by "he's lookin right at me". Someone was watching someone for a long enough time to spook them into asking "what's your problem".

Listen - whether TM started the fight, was the aggressor or not, to me, is irrelevant.

We're taught at a very young age, that to generally keep out of trouble, you mind your own business - especially around shady characters and at night.

If George Zimmerman was not there that night - and had it been another random person who was crossing paths with Trayvon, minding their own business, I doubt Trayvon would've jumped them for no reason.

What George Zimmerman did that night was f*cking irresponsible, and shame on him especially knowing he had a f*cking gun for christsakes...

Versatile, most of us don't think TM is a devil but the evidence shows that his shirt was dangling when the shot rang, which is consistent with him being on top, especially if you consider the wounds to GZ. The only thing that's clear in this case is that GZ seemed to have defended himself from having his head bashed in.

No, you didn't say it. I did. LOL.
Exactly. The angry, hateful person commented on how TM would never eat candy an drink pop again. Very classy.

Not a nice thing to say.
Meh. Trayvon Martin was a thieving little piece of shit who in essence killed himself by attacking some loser, when the loser happened to be armed. Society is better of without him. Earth is a better place because TM is dead, there is little question of that.

No Robitussin on him, no codeine in his system, no lean that night.
That is not the question I asked... we are talking about character in reference to what might have been in TM's mind.

It seems likely that he had not had lean that night... because he had not yet made any.

I asked what are the odds?

Is this directed to me? I have no problem doing this but you need to keep it equal. I answered yours. Answer mine.
I know the answer to my question just as you know the answer to yours.

What are the odds that he just felt like some candy and pop?

I know the answer to my question just as you know the answer to yours.
Which is you would be singing a completely fucking different tune if Zimmerman was a woman. I know it and you know it.

Zimmerman was defending himself. Period. THAT is why he was found NOT GUILTY and you just helped show why.

Thanks.

Perry, can't you see argument now. "Well they did have several thousand kilos of Ammonium Nitrate in the truck and they were seeking to purchase several thousand liters of diesel fuel, and they don't own a farm, but build a bomb, what a ridiculous line of reasoning."

Listen, you can avoid answering all you want... because the answer is too obvious.

But that identifies you as one of those people that refuses to use reason, common sense, life experience, etc.... and you can't get around what is most likely and probable.

Doesn't matter much to me. I am not a US citizen. I am not a member of either sides family. I don't live in Florida. I don't carry or own a gun. I don't follow people. Etc etc etc

But it just shows the reality and where exactly your rage is coming from. It is quite informative.

It is okay. It is a good thing you feel that way. Means you are not totally void of emotion or morals. You know if it was a woman, you see the self defence. It really is okay. It doesn't make you a bad guy.

In return, there sure as shit a lot of things that could have been done different and young life would not have be lost which is a point that I think it is most important thing to take away from this tragic event. Not more fighting. Not more divide. But hey- that is just me.

What I'd like to know is why the big media outlets like the NYT didn't report this. Why did they portray Trayvon as the innocent schoolboy while Zimmerman was villified as a vigilante, the aggressor and a racist wannabe cop? Could it be that perhaps the DOJ/White House controls the lamestream media?
