If the Sabres can get someone who can score two goals and contribute another assist every game, sure trade another Campbell for another Bernier. Plus the future 1st round pick will come in handy. The Sens should have traded away Emery for a bag of peanuts. LOL.Neverenuff$ said:Ya never know... but its good to see teams that don't just stay with the status quo... if your not winning and your not making changes ......
your selling a stale product (notice how I refrained from a leaf bash on this one)
I guess Sabers fans are saying Campbell who ?.. for now
Cheers

Not when they keep losing games even with Mr. Bryan 'the Sissy' Murray as conductor for the weak in the knees Senators. The good doc was counting on the 'mighty' Senators to beat up the injury ridden Flyers to keep the 'need your help' Sabres in playoffs. It didn't happen, did it???Neverenuff$ said:They already have a can of Gerbers ... er goobers !
The Sens will right the ship ...
Till Detroit gets 'em
Ahhh....revenge for last year's playoff exit is very sweet for the young Penguins. Apparently the 'mighty' Senators are so weak in their knees that they can beat no one except themselves. Congratulations to the 'mighty' Senators first round 0-4 exit. Apparently they made a big mistake by letting go Muckler and installing Bryan 'the Sissy' Murray as GM. Now shall we guess who's head in the Senator's senior managment is going to the chopping block. LMAO!!!Scenicdrive said:Not when they keep losing games even with Mr. Bryan 'the Sissy' Murray as conductor for the weak in the knees Senators. Owner Eugene said in the second intermission that Brian Murray's job is safe.Scenicdrive said:Now shall we guess who's head in the Senator's senior managment is going to the chopping block.

Apparently in either job and both Murray failed. Sure, keep the sissy and the 'mighty' Senators will be weak in the knees next season again. May be the Senators fans should fire both Eugene and Murray all together. LOL!!!Mervyn said:Which Job ? Coach or GM ?
Ah....he owns the team.Scenicdrive said:May be the Senators fans should fire both Eugene and Murray all together.
Mr. Bandit, please have a sense of humour when you are robbing, ok??? And you assume there is no way the fans can run the owner out of town eh??? LOL!!!The Bandit said:Ah....he owns the team.
For a team that has Stanley Cup aspirations year in and year out, anything short of winning the Cup is unacceptable. Last year the good doc said Emery is not a Stanley Cup goalie. This year, lets say that Murray is not a Stanley Cup GM. Stanley Cup coach he never was. Perhaps owner Eugene is not a Stanley Cup owner for not instituting the necessary changes for the Cup. LOL!!!Neverenuff$ said:Well the wheels certainly fell off ..
but the Sens want a cup, I suspect the Sens will make more name changes next year then ..... well .. the Sabres !!
11 years in a row making the playoffs.. and only 1 appearence in the finals to show for it .. shamefully ... how long will any sane fan tolerate this ?!!!!
Sens fans have short memories. Are you forgetting what ownership was like before Melnyk bought the team: Firestone took his money from the Kanata land deal and ran, Bryden was a serial moocher. If Melnyk sells who will buy them? Ottawa is a very small market team wedged between two large market teams - that is why they went bankrupt when they first had an NHL team. Yes Melnyk was rash in firing Muckler, but for the stability he's brought to the franchise, Sens fans should be gratefull.Scenicdrive said:Apparently in either job and both Murray failed. I have a feeling that the next coach of the Sens will be Mike Babcock. Detriot has not signed him for next year, taking a wait & see appoarch. Babcock was hired by Murray in Anaheim. I would like to see Pat Burns coach the Sens, He wins everywhere he goes....for the first few years anyway. The Oracle said:If they were smart they would bring in Pat burns to coach. He's from the Ottawa area and would be a great fit in my opinion.
Tinkering or not, it is clear the 'mighty' Senators fell short year after year, when Stanley Cup is their bottom line. Again, they have the entire summer to do some soul searching, perhaps while they are golfing in some green pastures. LOL!!!21pro said:i'm of the opinion that not much tinkering has to be done to get this team more hungry. IMO they are a better team now after experiencing what failure this season was after such a strong start. my guess is 8 of the players on the 4 lines will still be there next year and the core D will still remain- Redden, Emery are out- that's a given, but Stillman and Commodore are assets that make you play better (2 top scorers for them in the 4 games they played in the postseason).
One cannot blame the Sens fans for having high expectations of the 'mighty' Senators. Likewise, it is reasonable to think Melnyk wants the Stanley Cup as well. It is just that Melnyk has the capacity to make it happen by leading the team as an owner, while the Sens fans can just hope. If Melnyk messes up from the top, it clearly is his fault and he should right his ship ASAP. Best of luck to him and the 'mighty' Senators.Insidious Von said:Sens fans have short memories.
