Good Job Mighty Senators!!!

Did they credit Phillips for scoring on his own net or Emery scored on himself and Phillips got the assist in their attempt to help the mighty Ducks win??? LMAO!!! As if the mighty Ducks needed the Senators' help to win this game (6-2) and the series!!! Can't imagine the 'mighty Senators' suddenly become so impotent and incompetent!!! LOL!!!

Anywhere there's a Strip Joint
Looks good on Alfredsson what an A-hole...it sounded like the ACC when he was being booed.
Anaheim was far superior to the Sens.

I have to admit that the best team won. As for Alfie well as much as want to find an excuse for his actions, fuck man I can't.

Well , the only team in the NHL that wouldn't trade places with Ottawa .... IS the ducks.

As for Alfie.. no one likes him, but what competant NHL GM wouldn't take him ?

Be interesting to see if Emery gets a good raise ... poor guy is ecking out an existance on $800K

18 shots on net isn't exactly dominating an opponent ... To win a Stanley Cup
you need Stanley cup final type of goaltending and Sens didn't get it last night..

oh fuckin' right it is.

especially when you defeat a team in only 5 games. and, of the first 7 shots on net you score 2 goals. also, when you can hold a team down to only 13 shots - that's a team that has had 1 penalty shot and 6 full minutes of power play time, yet still only had 13 shots through the whole game.

dominating can come in the form of getting up on the scoreboard and sitting back and playing D. oh, wait a minute, that's exactly how to dominate.

I expected alot more from Peter Schaefer afterall, this was his time to show Brian Burke that he had what it takes to play in the NHL under the contract he wanted. When it was time for signing, Burke said that Schaefer was only worth about $100/week in the minors.

The Internal Definition of Mighty For The Senators

No one will deny that the Senators are mighty indeed so far. They know it too. But within them, there is only one goal. That is, not just to dominate the Eastern Conference this season, but to win the Stanley Cup. They came close last season. So anything short of holding the Cup in their hands will not make them mighty in their eyes. It is too early to ask the hockey gods for an answer. Lets wait and see. ;) LOL!!!

last years final apperence will make them more determined this year...

And upper Management wants a Cup... Jobs are not safe in Ottawa if a Cup is not delivered

Will The Mighty Senators Still Be Mighty Come Playoffs???

Indeed jobs are not safe in Ottawa. There is not much Bryan Murray can do except to fire John Paddock in an attempt to put the spark back and hope that the Senators will be mighty again. But if history is a good indicator, Murray will fall short. He has never won the Cup as head coach. Bringing in some players who won the Cup before does not necessitate the entire team will win the cup this time around. Chances are Murray may suffer the same fate he did to Paddock. What natural justice!!! LOL!!!

Ya never know... but its good to see teams that don't just stay with the status quo... if your not winning and your not making changes ......

your selling a stale product (notice how I refrained from a leaf bash on this one)

I guess Sabers fans are saying Campbell who ?.. for now

Cheers

Ray Emery was this teams downfall. They should have ran him out of town when he started his crap. He is not the best goalie he thinks he is, He just one good season. When you late for meetings etc. you are the cancer on the team. Everybody can be replaced at sometime in a business
