Another win by the Leafs to-night. Looks like the boys are doing everything in their power to not embarress Brian Burke by giving Boston the 1st overall draft pick.:p

It will be tough for them to move up in the standings but at least the young roster is playing with enthusiasm, not that sense of entitlement anymore.

Another win for the Mighty TML !!!!!!! Burke is making all the right moves, now with a few top 6 UFA forwards to add on July 1, the Buds are a lock for a playoff spot.

I am seeing a much better team on the ice this yr. They are second youngest in all the NHL I believe and a couple more yrs they just might be a real contender.

I am waiting for the off season to see what Burke does. I am confident he will be able to sign a free agent, or two, of significance. Then of course there is Kaberle and what the Leafs will get for him, I am positive that Burke will trade him this summer. I think he can get a first rounder or top forward for him.
I see Bozak as an NHL player, maybe a second line center. He will be a regular next season on the Leafs.
Hanson is not NHL regular ready yet and may never be, but he is young. Maybe he will learn what it takes over the last part of this season and come back ready in '10/'11.

If Kaberle is going to be traded in the off season, I believe it'll be for an established forward, a first line centre will be the target. If Burke wanted a first rounder, he would have gotten it easily at the trade deadline, even with the limited number of teams that Kaberle would agree to go to.

Burke will not want to miss the playoffs 2 years in a row and he knows goaltending and a first line centre are his top priorities. I wouldn't be surprised if he keeps Kaberle if 1)he can't get what he wants for him, and 2)Kaberle agrees to an extension. Kaberle has weaknesses in his game, but he's a very good puck moving defenceman to have on a team now emphasizing on youth, skill and speed.

Yeah, it'll be an interesting off season for sure.

Is Vincent Lacavalier available this summer?

I think he could do for the Leafs what Joe Thornton does for SJ.

(btw, forget them European players - i.e. them Ruskies, e.g Kovolchuk).

No.

No-movement contract, with about 9 ? years left on it.

Joe Thornton, waste of space come playoff time.

not a Burke type of player, look for Burke to go after Sharp and Buyfuglien from Chicago during the off season.
Not his type of player? You kidding, right? What type is that? Burke doesn't like a proven play maker and scorer?
Sharp, I'd take him on the Leafs.
Byurfuglien (sic?)...again...you're kidding, right?

That video is so disheartening. Sure Kessel is looking pretty sharp lately and should be good for at least 30 goals a year, but you don't trade two 1st rounders with no lottery protection when you're a shitty team, and pay the guy $5.5 mil when no one else was going to pay that salary or the price to acquire him.

I betcha Burke will try to reacquire his 2011 pick from Boston via Kaberle, and Chiarelli will tell him to go fuck himself.

Guess what? The Leafs will play the role of a spoiler in beating teams like Montreal and Ottawa to benefit the Buffalo Sabres since Burke and Wilson really like Ryan Miller the Buffalo goalie. LOL!!!

Chicago If you guys think they are going to give up either of those players for Kaberle, not a chance. He is good but getting up there in years.

Not sure if Chicago will have a choice....
Chicago may have trouble resigning Sharp and Byfuglien because of its Salary Cap...

Chicago was having trouble with the cap this year....
They had to dump Cam Barker....

Not sure how things will look for Chicago at the end of they year but the Blackhawks might lose some players for nothing...
