He has been with CBC and HNIC since 1989. A great voice and presence, the utmost of professionalism. I was fortunate enough to meet him after a playoff game in Ottawa back in 2002. He was with Harry Neale and Bob Cole in the hotel bar. We had a great conversation over a couple of pops. Truly passionate and knowledgeable about the game. And a real gentleman. Harry Neale on the other hand, well let's just say he isn't on my list of favorite people.

Every 2nd word out of his mouth was fuck, shit or piss. He definitely had a few in him. Probably started drinking right after his broadcast ended. He also trashed the city of Toronto saying he'd never live there. When he was doing the Leaf broadcasts he was traveling in from Buffalo.
