Always hate losing via walk in extras. I would rather have a pitcher throw one down the middle and hopeully get a pop-up as opposed to a blatant walk.

It's time to blow up this team and rebuild. The Jays are the oldest team in the league and it's really hurting them in the standings. Shapiro should keep Stroman, Sanchez, Osuna, Donaldson and Smoak, but the rest of the team should be on the trading block, including, but not limited to, Bautista, Happ, Estrada, Liriano, Tulo, Pillar, Martin, Goins, Morales and Pearce.

I'm not overlooking anything. You guys think he would refuse a trade to a contender so he can finally get his ring?? He will turn 37 this October, I doubt he has more than 1 or 2 years left in the tank. You better believe he would like to be traded to a team thats at least a WC contender
No team is gonna want him now so we have no strong trade bait unless Jays trade Happ and JD and I think they plan on contending next year so they will not trade them
Can we please blow this up? Move out some of these fuckers and bring back some youth and hope. Yeah, yeah we know Bichette and Guerrero are on the way but there's not much else after them unfortunately.

I didn't necessarily mean you Phil, I just meant in general people tend to forget it's his choice.

we could be competitive in 2019 with a rebuild and next year would be more interesting watching younger guys than same old jays lose
Phil I agree, all you have to do is come up with a team that wants a DH, that can back up as a corner OF and/or 1stB and is willing to part with something the Jays want.

They're no contenders, but in fairness they are .500 in the last 10 games and Liriano and Estrada are almost guaranteed losses when they start. The offence didn't do badly yesterday.
I wouldn't write off Estrada. But he needs to go do a pitching stint in the minors to clear his head. Something's fucking with his mental game and he needs a break.

Even the best control/change-up pitchers have a limited shelf-life, dont they??
One of the best change-up pitchers I ever seen (Mike Boddicker) was pretty much washed up at age 35
