When he first turned pro Joker was brittle, he only won one Major in his first 5 years. Then he did a bunch of toxicity tests, was found to be gluten intolerant. He switched to a gluten free diet rich with grain protein...and no one has been able to touch him.

You need a big serve to have the slim chance of beating him. Hubert Herkacz gave him trouble with his boomers, so far the best match of the tournament. Jannik Sinner pushed Joker to five sets last year if Joker beats him again this year he is Wimbledon Champion. Alcaraz Garfia is very good but his serve is not of the same level. You don't want to go second serve against Joker, he will eat you.

I fully understand why he wouldn't take the vaccine.

Friday: Joker vs Sinner...don't ya dare miss it!

Hubert Hurkacz hit 33 thunder aces against Novak, had he taken it to fifth set he may have won. What brought him down, his footwork is only slightly better than Milos Raonic. Still it was the best match of the tournament. Jannik Sinner knows what he has to do to give himself a chance at victory. Joker is The Gold Standard of men's tennis.

Ons Jabour correted her mistakes from last year tournament, she served cold cuts to Leggy Supermodel then outlasted Aryna Sabalenka. If she does win Wimbledon will her father finally retire and allow a professional coach to train his daughter. Everyone wanted Elina Svitolina to win her SF, after maternity leave it would have been a miracle. Unfortunately she ran out of of gas against Vondrousova (sp) in the other SF.

We could be on the cusp of sporting history.

Carlino may not have a booming serve like Jannik Sinner, he compensates with Lancastrian agility. I can't remember the last time Joker lost a Slam Final, unless he makes another remarkable comeback it's happening today.

From what I'm watching today, the big servers that Joker overcame (HurKacz, Sinner) took it out of him. He's 36 going against a 20 year old, he's being out aced 5-2.

Could be an epic transfer of power.

Joker is human after all, he ran out of gas yet still managed to take Alcaraz to five sets.

His service game tells the story. He only hit 2 Aces against Alcaraz, he hit 11 against Sinner and 18 against Hurkacz (who hit 33). This is as epic a turnover comparable to Federer beating Sampras.

Very good match. I'll give it a B+ in terms of quality compared to other matches I've seen. There was drama by going 5 sets and no doubt that there were a lot of great shots but not a lot of seemingly impossible and otherworldly shots made. Alcaraz had a drop in level in the 4rth as Djok dropped off in the 3rd and somewhat in the 5th. Neither player was at their best in the 5th. Djokovic was showing his age once Alcaraz made him work. Djok only went 2 sets over the minimum through his first 6 matches, so if those wore him out it is extra confirmation that age is catching up to him. I don't think that he'll win the U.S. Open.

The greatest matches I recall were Borg and McEnroe and Roger vs. Nadal that lasted about 8 hours and several others. But still very entertaining. As usual the power, speed, court coverage and overall athleticism of the men is something that the women cannot come close to.

And the guy I was rooting for won.

Great game I was happy Carlos one, I'm tired of Joker. I can never like him like I liked Nadal an Federer, I don't know why.

Djokovic lost it when he should have gone up 2-0 in the 5th set on a 30-40 break, but shanked it and should have hit an overhand. I think that miss didn't leave him.

BTW: Rosewall played tennis with his non-dominant hand as does Nadal.
If I'm not mistaken, you've mentioned this many numerous times before?
