Just in case there's a problem with the item. For eg: you have a unit at home that is 3 yrs old. It breaks. You go buy a new one, put the old one in the box, and keep the new one.Don't try to refund something.
I returned a small item today to Radio Shit. Now known as The Source.
It was a $9.00 item.
I returned it to the same guy who sold it to me and he remembered me.
They wanted my name and address and phone number! I paid cash for the item and they would not refund the cash unless I gave them that info. I even spoke to the Manager and he refused.
So I gave them John Public, 123 Main Street, Toronto, and a fictitious phone number.
Why should I have to give out my personal info?
As for the "family outing" shoppers, oh that bugs the hell outta me too. I mean seriously, why does grandma, greatgrandpa, 2 aunts, 3 uncles, 4 kids, 8 parents and two visitors from asia HAVE to come with you to buy a box of cereal?????
