I had that happen a few years ago...I walked out and left everything on the belt. There are plenty of stores that will take my hard earned money. I don't play silly games with people that I am giving my money, I do not tolerate it.
I have also left shopping carts in line and walked out when in the cashier goes to do a price check. Plenty of stores near my house someone will take my money.
About 15 years ago I was buying 4 imported high end kitchen appliances in a boutique type store. I couldn't find a salesperson in the whole store so I opened a box to look at the item, the salesperson came out of the back and started to chew me out. I explained and apologized and decided to buy 4 of the item's ($300 each).
The salesperson took the items to the cash, I told her I would like them gift wrapped and she continued to say that people shouldn't open packages and on and on. I apologized again explained there was no one in the store and she continued blah blah blah. I waited till she wrapped all 4 ( still babbling) and she rang all into the cash, told me the price, I pulled out my credit card and before I handed it to her I said: " I find you very rude, and think I will take business elsewhere" and walked out. She didn't not say one word as I walked out. I drove to another store and they gladly accepted my money.
I will not tolerate crap from people I am giving my money too. Never.
Are you suggesting maybe a Dick in the box type thing? I can assure you that is not the case.I am almost afraid to ask. WHAT IS IN THAT RED BOX LYING ON TOP OF HER PUBIC AREA?
OK... That is Sammie Rhodes...thats just nasty....move the box
I agree. The worst is the LCBO at Xmas. They bring in skids of booze filling up the floor space, and it never emptys, then they have 5 to 10 times the amount of customers, so you can't move and get past the family reunions. Then the first week of Jan, they haul it all out again. Makes no sense, just a waste of energy.I hate when they fill the isles so full of shit, and people all stop and start a family fucking reunion. I got so mad last year, I crashed carts out of the way, and yeah could have been seen on Trailer Park boys!!
Anybody tried those self-serve checkouts? They don't seem that busy.My pet peeve is to do with checkouts (still): Loblaws will allow 10 or more people lined up at 4 or 5 cashiers and not open any to release the backlog.
I use them all the time, but the Sobeys I go to doesn't have them. Actually, I prefer to use them than to go to a cashier.Anybody tried those self-serve checkouts? They don't seem that busy.
Now try working in that kind of environment 40+ hours a week...No wonder I can find the fire ax in the dark.I hate the people who get pissed off for no other reason, then it's busy. I get flipped the bird more at Christmas than any other time of year....Well, Merry Fuckin Ho! Ho! to you too...lol
Now it'll sound odd coming from a guy, but I love to go "shopping." Ok, I seldom buy stuff. Maybe a few books, a CD/DVD or game. (Been meaning to buy some new cloths too. Been dropping weight, and I want a change from the jeans/t-shirt thing I have now to something nicer...But I don't know what I want) For me it's an excuse to get out.People relax it shouldn't be so bloody stressful.
I have yet to see them in any store other than Homo Depot. I love em frankly. I can whiz through faster than any cashier can....and yes, I DO scan every item TYVM lol.....Anybody tried those self-serve checkouts? They don't seem that busy.
I have yet to see them in any store other than Homo Depot. .....
I most certainly do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You have a high opinion of yourself!!!!!!!!!!!
oops shit, you're right CTC has em and I use them there too....zip right on through....I have seen them at Canadian Tire and Loblaws.
This is to prevent employee theft. Seriously- Years ago when I first became the manager of a shoe store- the day after my day off, I was doing the paperwork. I came across a refund for a pair of shoes. It just happened to be the same size and style as a pr I had returned about a week prior. Thinking I may have a manufacturing problem I went to check the "damaged" shoes- there was only 1 pr- the pair I had returned. Strange I thought since there were 2 refunds. I called the woman that had supposedly returned the shoes the day before- she did not exist! I then started checking all the refunds from this associate. She had been stealing cash and "hiding" it as refunds for MONTHS! $2200 worth! She lost her job obviously and there was a big investigation- she was a long time employee too- 4- 5 years in fact and she made a point to transfer to a different store every 6-8 months to "spread out" the losses and avoid detection. They wanted my name and address and phone number! I paid cash for the item and they would not refund the cash unless I gave them that info. I even spoke to the Manager and he refused.
So I gave them John Public, 123 Main Street, Toronto, and a fictitious phone number.
Why should I have to give out my personal info?
A LEGEND in your own MindI most certainly do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will repeat this so you know EXACTLY where I'm coming from:
I will not tolerate crap or poor service from anyone I am giving my money to. Be it a newspaper for $1.50, a shopping cart of food for $150, a Mercedes for $110,000 or a 40 ft Sabre Motor Yacht for $650,000!
Never.
If you want to be treated like shit, knock yourself out, not me, I have a higher opinion of myself than that.
P.S. The store was empty (that's why she was hanging out in the back) and she was part-owner, but if you read every post you would know that.
Intelligence shines, but don't fret, society needs little people also. There will always be room for you.A LEGEND in your own Mind
That is why I pay by plastic now. Also, don't want to come back home with 15,000 coins.Pet Peeve for me: when paying by cash and the change is given, why oh why do they pile the coins on top of the bills.
