Hailey: Yeah, I thought it would be fun to play an Elf over Christmas but please treat me like any applicant.

Me: Interview going great. Now I have to see you naked.

Netflix: Hey, we got a call from Melissa. She wants to audition for the Mall Cop Sequel. Her tv series got cancelled so she is a free agent at the moment. We'll send her up to Toronto for a screen test tomorrow.

Getting a bit late on a Monday night but I managed to squeezed in one more Elf interview.

So, Melissa flew in this morning. After a short nap and lunch she was good to go.

Some of the moms come to the mall dressed in their Christmas costume. This mom is hoping that servicing Santa will make her kid's wish come true.

When I signed up to be Mall Santa I had to agree to do my best to make the moms happy.

Me: Yes, we are looking to hire around 6 Elves and still have 2 vacancies. It's a temporary job from December 3 to about January 3, 2024. Are you interested?

Applicant: Yes, am interested. A temporary job fits in nicely with my school schedule as we are off almost all of December. What are the hours and pay like?
Me: Hours are long during the Christmas/New Year period. Pay is $50 an hour minimum. BTW: Which school are you attending?

Applicant: Sounds good. I'm a nursing student at TMU (formerly Ryerson).
Me: Are you good with kids?
Applicant: Yes, I have 3 siblings.

Me: Interview going great. Last step is I have to see you naked. It's SOP.
Applicant: Sure, no problem.
