A lot of people don't understand the important duties undertaken by female Elves.

1) They keep the display area neat and tidy.
2) Crowd control.
3) Entertain the little rascals (I mean kids).
4) Motivate the kids to pose for the camera.
5) Operate the camera and collect the photo fees.
6) Convince the moms they have the cutest kids.
7) Last but not least service Mall Santa.

I keep telling the moms there is no need to show their appreciation. Making their kids happy is enough reward but they always insist.

With everything that is going on, Mall Santa behind in recruiting the full complement of female Elves. Here is one more applicant.

Applicant: Hear you are looking to fill the Elves positions.
Me: Yes, we are looking to hire around 6 Elves and still have 3 vacancies. It's a temporary job from December 3 to about January 3, 2024. Are you interested?

Applicant: Yes, am interested. A temporary job fits in nicely with my school schedule as we are off almost all of December. What are the hours and pay like?
Me: Hours are long during the Christmas/New Year period. Pay is $50 an hour minimum. BTW: Which school are you attending?

Applicant: Sounds good. I'm a student at TMU (formerly Ryerson).
Me: Are you good with kids?
Applicant: Yes, I have 3 kids.

Me: Interview going great. Last step is I have to see you naked. It's SOP.
Applicant: Sure, no problem.

This is awkward. The mall manager's daughter applied for one of the Elf positions.
Daughter: I want you to treat me just like any applicant.

Applicant: Hear you are looking to fill the Elves positions.

Mall Santa is now going into overdrive to recruit more Elves. The current group of Elves are complaining they are overworked and stressed out. Here's one more applicant.
