I think people are focusing too much on the percentage of votes per party and not looking at the seats across the country. The Liberals will win almost no seats in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Quebec. Can’t see how they can win a majority of seats Unless they sweep Ontario.

The liberal strength is less about Carney and P P performances and more about the collapse of Singh. For someone far left leaving the NDP their only option is the Liberals.

The Liberals are leading in Quebec. Some Bloc voters are voting Liberal to not have Poilievre in power.

I wouldn't say awful. But he is not as polished as Carney. I fear that Canadians are going to be seduced by another good-looking, smooth-talking, privileged male.
Carney is polished ?..Listen to his answers to journalists..specially women journalists. Put him in spot he just snaps.
Good luck females voting for him.
Is Liberal biased media asking him any tough questions ?..his assets, Maxwell , plagiarism, why his company has been investing in oil pipelines in entire world, but opposing here in Canada, escaping debates, links with China. A lot is hidden with this guy.

you don't get 3B in real estate developments in Shanghai and then take out 300M loan from the Bank of China without a hidden handshake

This is what I am finding with a lot of people who were going to vote PC before. They were voting against Trudeau, not for PP. now that Trudeau is out, PP is losing all those votes.
Canada rarely votes governments IN.. they vote them OUT!

In the past, voting demographics have skewed towards conservatism with age. These results are exactly the opposite.

Also, Canadians in their mid-50s and up are worried about the Conservatives raising the retirement age to 67 or 70, they don't trust the Conservatives with the Canadian Pension Plan.

That's an excellent point. That's why I'd rather see Carney win. I'm in the age group that you mentioned in the beginning of your post. I remember when Harper wanted to raise the age to receive OAS (Old age security), to 67. Thank goodness, Justin lowered it back to 65. I hope Carney keeps it at 65??
Did you just compliment JT?????!!!!!!!!!

I`ll soon be 68, so no dog in the race. The CPP should be OK for quite a while, it`s a huge fund. The OAS will go first if any. I think a government changing eligibility dates is looking at career suicide....seniors vote. Interesting that PP wants to raise TFSA limits, maybe to get people to be more financially responsible?,...if they have any money to spare. If I was 15 now I wouldn`t count on much gov`t assistance in retirement, the mood for Gen Z is pretty bleak.
