Hey everyone! I'm looking for a somewhat upscale restaurants ($50 to $150 per head). It's all for myself so I don't really care about the atmosphere, just the food. I love steak and seafood, mostly. Any ideas?

Sassafraz. The oysters here are amazing!

Michael's on Simcoe, On Simcoe north of King, just forget the cross street. Steeeeeak!

THE KEG. Just saying, can't go wrong with the Keg. Go to the Mansion one if you're trying to be fancy.

Morton's by Avenue and Bloor. Same side as the Hyatt. Can't go wrong with the steaks but they make a mean sea bass.

Canoe, for scenery and seafood. The view is pretty cool if your party members may be interested. Try the fois gras!

Bymark.

Go to the Mansion, you might see "the ghost" ... I haven't been to Hy's in a long time but I remember their steaks being some of THE BEST I'd ever had.

I heard about Barberian's once before! How is it compared to Ruth Chris?
Better steak in my opinion. Low key and warm atmosphere.

Not to say Ruth's Chris isn't amazing, they just have a commercialized feel to me, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Service is always on point though.

OMG! So many choices! The KEG?!? There's just one a few blocks away from where I live and I have actually never been in there!

I heard about Canoe also. Not sure about foie gras.. I've had foie gras in the form of terrines twice before. They tasted like bland butter :(

Let me check out harbour 60!

Apparently there is a wildfire in Toronto. I've only been to the one in chicago and it was amazing! Is the one here good?

If you hit up harbour 60, you'll be spoiled and never want to go anywhere else. Lol. I say go. You only live once! Treat yourself.

You'll be surprised at the quality of steaks if you ever try the keg. I chose that over some other steakhouse last week!

Between Keg, Barberians, Hy's, and Ruth's Chris, I'd suggest Jacobs. Outstanding steaks and perfect service.

The Keg is underrated, too!

George. Arguably the best restaurant in the city. Definitely in the higher price range. Followed by Chase...then Richmond Station (not as formal).

To add...if you've decided on Harbour 60 - the fillet is great...but the short rib appetizer is incredible.
